Having served three years for armed robbery, Charles Brown has just been released from Kingston Penitentiary with only a suit of clothes and $25 to his name, but he figures he'll be all right since he learned how to do carpentry in prison which should land him steady work. The prison administration provides him with the name of the John Howard Societies if he does need assistance on the outside. He finds that once people know of his record, they won't give him a chance. And even if he doesn't mention his prison sentence, his criminal record eventually catches up with him. Even with the Societies taking on the task, getting a job for Brown is not easy and which will take great powers of persuasion. If no one is willing to give him a break, Brown may need to resort to his old ways and end up just another statistic sent back to prison.

The Terry Bears have trouble hibernating when the radiator breaks. The trouble increases when Papa Bear decides not to send for a pluber and to fix the radiator himself. The Cubs try to help but they break the water valve and flood the house. Papa nearly freezes in his attempts but the Cubs save him and fix the pipes.

We see a film negative of a nude couple embracing in bed. Then, back in regular black and white images, we see them alone and together, clothed, at home. It's night, she sees his reflection in the window, she closes the drapes. After sex, again in a black and white negative, they sit, smoke, have coffee. They kiss, she smiles. They light candles. The images are often quick, the camera angles occasionally are off kilter; the room is sometimes dark and sometimes lit, as if lit by the rotating of a searchlight. The images again appear in negative when they return to bed.

This short 1956 documentary shows how the Royal Canadian Air Force fulfills its primary role of maintaining constant vigilance and providing a blanket of aerial defense. Shot almost entirely in 'Kelly Country', near the country town of Benalla, The Glenrowan Affair takes us back to the era of Victoria's most notorious bushranger, showcasing thrilling action sequences and horsemanship as time and again the Kelly Gang outwit the law. His tale unfolds as Ned Kelly and Joe Byrne surprise the constabulary in the bar of the Glenrowan Hotel and Ned shoots a constable in the hand. The Glenrowan Affair includes the ambush at Eleven Mile Creek, the hold up at the Jerilderie Bank and the siege at the Glenrowan Hotel where Ned, dressed in a suit of homemade armour, taunts the 'traps' in a hail of gunfire before he is shot and captured.

Meanwhile, his wife has won a new car on a television quiz show that is the same make and model as the car Pete purchases from a car-dealer. Pete arrives home and sees the car his wife won and mistakes it for the one he ordered from the dealer, but it is a different color. He drives it back to the showroom for a replacement, and that begins the first of many problems he is to encounter.
