Questioning the fast cycle of cultural production, Choi recycles her exhibition into a context and material for a shapeshifting film in which a group of performers play the spirit medium of the unattended. The resulting film enacts trance like rituals – a dramatic monologue, ghostly rave party and wistful self-affirmation – with an animistic imagination. Colliding references to the horror genre with pop spiritualism, Choi choreographs feelings of disillusionment induced by the pressure to constantly “upload” and “update”.

THREE MOONS OF BIYANGDO is a documentary about three South Korean sisters who harvest from the sea for their livelihoods.

In the 1980s, Dongducheon base village. Hong spends a pleasant time with her older sister Yeon-ok. But the hostess disturbs Hong’s perfect daily life.

One day, the wife has changed. She becomes more forgetful, gets herself lost on the streets, and finds it hard to recognize people she meets every day. She used to cook full meals for many guests but now struggles to even make fried eggs. Like so, her time goes backward.

Gyeol, a young water carrier, lives in a little hut on a mountainside with his grandfather and their old dog. One day, his grandfather brings home Bana, a lost young girl who has nowhere to go. The three become a family.

A lady in her mid-70s was social and active. Although she took heart medicine every day, she continued to participate in various gatherings and activities. However, after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, she gave up all outdoor activities, spending most of her time in or around the home. Since then, she has unfurled conversations with plants on the balcony, plants in the kitchen, and those rooted in the vegetable garden too. ‘Get Some Sunshine’ explores a day in the life of this lady (the film director’s mother) and the solidarity she developed with companion plants during the pandemic.

The test was considered effective in identifying and diagnosing schizophrenia and was administered to Nazi war criminals in an attempt to understand the Nazi personality. Often criticized as pseudoscience, the Rorschach is still used and remains controversial. The test is often referred to as Ro-sha (short for Rorschach) in Korea. The film Rosha tells stories spoken by a girl named Rosha. It is a photogram of the ten inkblot images on B&W 16mm film. The images overlap and break apart, leaving impressions on the film surface. When the film is projected, the printed inkblots turn into Rosha's glossolalia,* which lies between language and non-language.

The film "When Elephants Come to Town" is heavily defined by its rhythm. Hyejeong Yun frees themselves from linear narrative structures and chooses a subject-centric narrative out of multimedia-based documentary methods. From this, Hyejeong combines their own experiences and observations with found footage film and collective euro-centric myths. – everyday experiences and institutionalised balances of power – In these connections, she is creating multi-sensory collages of photography, sound and film.
