Killing Game

Upon his release from prison, Hyuk turns away his girlfriend Mina who has come to greet him. He admonishes her to forget about him. He finds a job at a pool hall but it seems trouble follows Hyuk around. He gets in the middle of a gang fight and ends up saving gang leader Ju-cheol. As a token of gratitude, Ju-cheol gives a slice of his own territory to Hyuk. Kyung-suk, Ju-cheol's right hand man, becomes threatened by Hyuk and so challenges him to a fight. The loser has to leave the area for good. Kyung-suk ends up losing the fight and he takes off for Tae-baek, a mountainous city. There, he becomes a faithful member of Kang-ho's gang and kidnaps Hyuk's former martial arts master. Ju-cheol asks Hyuk to help the martial arts master who also happens to be his friend. Hyuk returns to his hometown of Tae-baek only to find that Kyung-suk has kidnapped his old flame Mina. Hyuk, vowing vengeance, goes underground to find and rescue the two most important people in his life.

Remembering You

Orphaned from a young age, Jeong Shik runs away from the orphanage in hopes of making money. He roams the streets but soon he is caught for stealing bread. He is saved by Seong Gyu who, taking pity on him, invites him to live with him and his friend Min Wook. The three friends are invited one day to Soo Mi's birthday party. Soo Mi is a friend of Hye Ryun who is Min Wook's girlfriend. But they are ridiculed and verbally abused by Soo Mi's elder brother and so they leave the party. Jeong Shik becomes convinced that money is the answer to all his troubles. Meanwhile, Min Wook vows to take revenge on Kang Cheol who stole Hye Ryun from him only to dump her immediately. But he is no match for Kang Cheol and becomes a casualty of his own rage.

Standing on the Edge of Death

Unlike “trilogy on torn-down neighborhoods,” (The Sang-kye dong Olympics, Haengdang-dong People, and Another World We Are Making), Standing on the Edge of Death calmly describes how urban poverty was formed, how they live, and why more than 20 of them committed suicide at once in 1990. In this film, the director explains that people who moved from poor countryside formed urban slum, and because they did not have formal education or asset, they worked as day laborers. Residence was one particular problem they faced as they lost their main dwelling area due to redevelopment. They start their day at dawn and work till night. However, these hard-working people do not receive any recognition from the society.

The sequel of "Heangdangdong People", a documentary about a struggle and dream for community of Heangdangdong people against the unfair removal of their housing. Heandangdong people in the removal region finally finished the struggle in the victory after the 3-year-struggle against the removal and they are now settled in the provisional residential building. They have gradually overcome poverty and have been establishing a local community through a production cooperative and a credit cooperative to materialize their dreams. Headangdong people's story with their successful community suggests a concrete way and hope about an alternative life.

Min-Wu determines to murder Ji-Ae as he decides something during making love. Then her diary which is found in her apartment displays Ji-Ae's life like a panorama. After she comes to Seoul, Ji-Ae attends in a college by working part time job with difficulties. Then she meets Min-Wu who returns to school after finishing military service one day. Although she gets to love him, Ji-Ae becomes skeptical about his pessimistic way of living. At that time a fashion designer Yun-Jin appears to her. Ji-Ae becomes shaky due to Yun-Jin's sophisticated manner and comfortable life, and finally she allows him to make love. Ji-Ae is gradually falling away from Min-Wu while she begins to fall in mammonism. Min-Wu, who desperately turns around Ji-Aa, makes another love promising to meet for the last but he believes the only way to save her is to kill her. In the end he kills Ji-Ae and also finished his life longing for her.

Park Chan Woo is the head of R&D at a high tech research institute. He returns to Korea to work for a new technology development project through his college friend Jung Hee's referral. When he sees Yoon Su Jin who meets him at the airport, Chan Woo is instantly attracted to her. Despite Jung Hee's repeated overtures, Chan Woo and Su Jin begin to live together. Their living arrangements are contractual with strict respect for each other's privacy and confidentiality. Su Jin boards a plane to Paris but through the underhanded scheme of Jung Hee and her friend Man Su, she ends up stranded on a remote island in Thailand. Chan Woo realizes his love for Su Jin and decides to risk his life to save her.

Master Sergeant Collins disobeys his commander's order of retreat and is chased by the North Korean troops as he falls behind his troops. He hides inside a catholic church. Collins disguises himself as a father and turns away the North Korean soldiers when they attack. In order to save himself, the sister, and the children, Collins teaches the boys how to shoot and survive. Sister Anna is kidnapped while searching for food. The boy feels anger as North Korean soldiers kill his grandmother. North Korean soldiers shoot at the South Korean area. A boy takes a box of dynamite. While he is arguing with his friend, his younger brother, Hyuk, takes the dynamite and runs over the bridge. Soon, the North Korean bunker is in flames. At the church, the sister and the children make a desperate fight against the North Korean soldiers.
