Etsuko (Rinko Kikuchi) was given the post to take charge in the launch of a web media site which specifically deals with the theme “the streets and the town of Tokyo”. So her recent daily routine was to walk around town searching for materials that may be suitable for the plan. One day she runs into a sake barrel stacked in a shrine in Kagurazaka (Shinjuku District, Tokyo), and she finds herself immediately interested in sake and it’s history with the Kagurazaka area. She decides to do a research, and calls photographer and long time friend Ikeda (Yota Kawase), and starts her quest for the secret of the fascinating sake and the historical town. For Etsuko, who had been stressed out by her busy work, her idea of gathering interesting informations and meeting people for her job turned out becoming an exciting journey which eventually leads Etsuko to reconcile with her peaceful heart and mind, which had always been her nature.

For the film’s 10th anniversary, experimental filmmaker Kei Shichiri (DUBHOUSE, JAPAN CUTS 2015) presents an all-new sound and image remastering of his tour de force film (formerly translated as Before the Day Breaks). Based on a manga by Naoki Yamamoto, the film follows Aochi, who sleeps and sleeps but never feels like she has slept enough. Shichiri, who explores the limits of sound and image in his diverse body of work, presents a highly evocative dramatic film in which humans barely appear on screen. The story is told through voiceover, sound and visions of dreams and landscapes. Shinjuku has descended into chaos. After their casino is hit, Hozumi (Seiki Nagahara), head of the Hozumi group under the Kurohime family, moves to retaliate—but the conflict is settled when Ryutaro Dojima (Yasukaze Motomiya), head of the Doryukai and Kurohime family Wakagashira aide, takes responsibility for the fallout. Intrigued by Takeda and Tsurumi, Dojima has them share sake cups and brings them into his family. Global Wars UK 2017 - Night 1 was a co-produced professional wrestling event by British promotion Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) and Japanese promotion New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). It took place on November 9, 2017, at York Hall in London, England, UK, and was headlined by Hirooki Goto & Will Ospreay of CHAOS vs. Minoru Suzuki & Zack Sabre Jr. of Suzuki-gun.

In the city, the Hayashida-gumi gang, led by boss Hayashida (Kazuyoshi Ozawa), and "RED CROW," led by Akazawa (Daisuke Uematsu), are engaged in a fierce conflict. Hayashida-gumi's second-in-command, Yabuta (Yu Shinagawa), fed up with the half-gangsters, unleashes Hachisuka (Ryohei Abe), a former Hayashida-gumi yakuza, who begins systematically eliminating members of "RED CROW." However, Hachisuka's target wasn't just "RED CROW"... Yabuta's affair with the Hayashida-gumi boss's woman is exposed by someone, leaving him in a desperate situation. The largest yakuza organization in Kansai, the Tenma-kai, has broken the agreement and begun advancing into Kanto. Additionally, the family’s underboss, Miyamura (Jiro Okazaki), is ambushed and murdered. Enomoto suspects there might be a traitor within the family and begins an independent investigation. The suspects that emerge are the headquarters director Ishibashi Masayuki (Kawamoto Junichi), assistant underboss Sakai Takahiro (Miyamoto Taisei), and the young boss Makabe Mitsuhiro (Takanori Higuchi). One of these three is the betrayer...
