Impoverished Britain

The loss of minimum wage in Britain has resulted in the gap between the rich and the poor growing hugely. Newtown just outside Birmingham is looking dirty, rundown and old. 50 % of its citizens are unemployed, living in grey towerblocks overlooking the urban devastation. The flats are poorly equipped with basic furnishings. All people can do is watch television. As the rich people get richer, the poor get poorer. Chris Pond from the Low Pay Unit blames poverty and hardship on the Conservative Government's free market economy and their opt-out from the social chapter. Journeyman Pictures investigates the harsh reality of 1990s Britain.

Lygon Street - Si parla Italiano

The true story of an iconic street, as told by the men and women who made it. Narrated by Anthony LaPaglia. After the disaster of World War II, a wave of Italian immigrants found their way to Melbourne - a strange place, suspicious of outsiders and completely devoid of a good cup of espresso. Congregating in a then run-down stretch of Carlton known as Lygon Street, these irrepressible restaurateurs, entrepreneurs and sometime mafiosi would come to define not only a street, but an entire country. 'Lygon Street - Si parla Italiano' brings to life the people, places and, of course, pastas that have made up one of Australia's most remarkable communities.

The Final Story 1990

It had been 32 years of pain for Collingwood trying once again to overcome their Grand Final hoodoo and finally bury the Collywobbles tag. In their way though was the might of Essendon who's momentum had been stalled when the Magpies drew with the West Coast Eagles in the Qualifying Final. With larger than life characters in both sides, this was a game that became etched in football folklore. You will hear and see the most emotional, inspiring and tragic accounts of this memorable day direct from the inner sanctum.

Precarious

This visually stunning road movie takes the spectator on a bleak journey from the shores of the Black Sea to the frozen heart of Chernobyl, passing through desolate, snowy landscapes, littered with abandoned villages. Accompanied by testimony from a group of unseen veterans of the disaster, Precarious bears witness to both the folly and resilience of humans and to nature's fragility.
