It was against this political atmosphere that YIN Zhao-Jian gave up his social worker job, a 10 year long and steady career, and joined the political circle and participated in the district councilor election, which he had no idea about.

Yong-shun, in order to pay off his debts when he was young, he started a life of driving a ready-mix truck during the day and working as a logistics truck driver at night. He has a not-so-mentioned twin brother, Yong-ho. In the early years, he and his brother became partners and engaged in driving logistics trucks together, but everything ended in 1998 due to a traumatic accident. The accident also caused his mother to stop seeing him. Yu-xuan, since he was a child, his father and uncle would take him with them when they drove the logistics truck. His father died at work when he was in junior high school, and now he has chosen the same job as his father, intending to continue his father's unfinished drive.

In 2004, the Taiwan International Workers Association (TIWA) came to support the protest of hundreds of Pilipino migrant laborers in their strike against their employer, Fametech Electronics. During this process they discovered that many of the workers were homosexual partners (who were featured in the documentary Lesbian Factory). 6-7 years have passed since then, what happened to those star crossed lovers in their pursuit for a way of life, have they found what they were looking for? The TIWA film crew set out to continue following their footsteps across the world. Documenting their love stories, battling gender identity and crossing social boundaries with their changing lives. As lesbian migrant workers, circumstances in their social environments are constantly shifting.

This 80-year-old mansion is packed with historical memories and traces, yet it gave me a strong sense of disappearance when I was in there. The old lady, who lives alone in the mansion, begins to lose the ability to recognize herself in her wedding photos. As the memory fades away, it seems to make the objects in the house gradually lose their meanings. Facing those objects that have been lost in history, I try to add my own memories as if to give them new souls, and the video itself is the container that contains everything and becomes their new body.

The deserted street in this city. A stalled train crashed into an abandoned apartment. A lot of girls rush out of the train and shamelessly destroy the rooms in this apartment. They interrupt the boys' serenity and look like a deer in the headlights. The different rooms symbolize different thoughts and construct the building looks like a boy. Come back down to earth, the boy is obsessed with the girl. (The moment while I saw you just like a train rushed into my brain.)

The chest medals represent not only the prestigious and righteous decorations but also the heavy guilt. A veteran chased the stealing medals and started recalling the life with getting these medals. It reveals the ambiguous righteous under the medals.

In the 1920s, a Kavalan family took refuge in Hualien. 70 years later, the filmmaker, a third-generation member of the family, embarked on a self-searching journey to recover his lost identity, producing the first documentary ever made by a Pingpu descendant. Through depiction of traditional Kavalan ceremonies and collective memories, the film asks us to recognise Pingpu peoples’ place in Taiwanese history, as well as their suffering and feelings of inferiority during years of forced migration.

Song of the Wanderer features a group of 'voiceless people', a part of the indigenous community in which the filmmaker resides. Due to frustrations with work, divorce, and life in general, they are often subject to isolation, emotional breakdowns, and even self-harm behaviours. The filmmaker engages them in genuine conversations, while inviting the viewer to listen to these 'voiceless people' sing: In their songs are their true feelings.

In 1949, the Nationalist government safely arrived in Taiwan, but the war between the Nationalists and the Communists continued to ravage the island of Kinmen. Situated between the two coasts, Kinmea was bombed by the Communist Chinese government on every odd-numbered day for over 20 years following the Battle of August 23. This island with an area of 140km^2 endured more than 970,000 bombs. Working with donations from over 300 island residents, local filmmaker Dong Cheng-Liang reveals this hidden history from the residents.

During the Chinese Civil War, part of the KMT (Chinese Nationalist) forces retreated to the Thai-Burma border region. Under international pressure, most of the troops were evacuated to Taiwan in 1961, yet some remained. In northern Thailand and in central Taiwan, the two groups shared a similar destiny while they were apart. Now that over 50 years have passed, their differences gradually emerge, and their descendants are struggling with their identity.

The 20th May Incident
On 30 November 1986, during the legislative election campaign, leading opposition figure HSU Hsin-liang planned to fly back to Taiwan after years of exile. The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) called for a mass mobilisation to welcome him at the airport. However, they unexpectedly confronted a large number of police and military personnel on the highway to the airport. The police attempted to disperse the crowd with water cannons and tear gas numerous times. The two sides even attacked each other with rocks. The only three TV stations at the time – TTV, CTV and CTS – repeatedly broadcasted scenes of the crowd throwing rocks and accused the DPP of being a violent party, attempting to affect the election results. The airport incident that Green Team captured soon became a popular video that the DPP candidates played at their campaign headquarters to subvert official lies in a timely manner. This film is a full coverage of the incident, edited after the election.
