To most of us, mathematics seems abstract, mysterious, complex, and even out of reach. And at the same time, it is the language in which the world speaks to us. Mathematics can be sensual. She has taste, she sounds and has color. It can be felt and it can be touched.

Two very different brothers: Gregor (32) and Pietschi (30). Whereas one is reliable and committed, the other is spontaneous and aimless. And the longer Pietschi remains missing, the more obsessed Gregor becomes with his brother’s fading echo, even going so far as to try and slip into his brother’s life. But what happens when one of them suddenly disappears from the mirror image? Can the other continue to be the person they are. Or rather, were?

When the rich brewer Dillinger wants to withdraw 100,000 euros in cash, Gerhard Schwegler, head of the Volkskassen, refuses to pay out the money: Dillinger's son Daniel had abandoned Schwegler's daughter Marie two days before the wedding. Dillinger fumes, Schwegler remains firm and, because teenager Lea films the whole thing for her video blog, the rumor spreads like wildfire that the Volkskasse Oberhopfingen is no longer paying out money and is bankrupt.

Khuyagaa is 10 years old and a good rider. He is a nomad, travelling with his parents, grandparents and siblings through the Gobi Desert in Mongolia all summer long. They have to look after the animals every day. Khuyagaa helps diligently when the herd of horses has to be brought in from the pasture or the goats have to be milked. At the end of the summer, school starts again for Khuyagaa. He only has time for his horse in the afternoon. Together with his friends, he goes for a ride through the village and looks forward to the weekend. Because then he can ride out into the vastness of the steppe at a wild gallop again.
