This horror film unearths, verifies, and unravels the reality of bizarre phenomena prevalent in the modern age. In addition to "Bloody Hinako," a drama recounting a frightening experience from an ordinary applicant, psychic X, who has had numerous spiritual experiences and is an expert on the occult, appraises psychic photographs and psychic items, and provides a sharp explanation of the truth.

The ostensible subject of this film is the growing, drying, peeling and packaging of persimmons in the tiny Japanese village of Kaminoyama. The inhabitants explain that it is the perfect combination of earth, wind and rain that makes their village’s persimmons superior to those grown anywhere else, including the village just a few miles away. The film’s larger subject, however, is the disappearance of Japan’s traditional culture, the end of a centuries-old way of life.

An anthology featuring short horror films directed by Toru Kamei and Minami Nagasaki. It includes "Possession", the story of Yuki who starts experiencing terrifying encounters with a female ghost after witnessing a suicide scene on her way to work, and "Bound Spirit", which portrays the horror faced by an office worker haunted by the spirit of her ex-boyfriend, who died by suicide years ago.

For this film, Takashi Makino allowed himself to be inspired by the earth. In a never-ending stream of images, we recognize elements from the forest that he then reduces to an abstraction. The film came about as a classical composition in which the picture and the musical contribution of Jim O’Rourke link up seamlessly and lead the mood in turn. A sense of freedom is what predominates.

Near future, Japan. Due to a genetic recombination accident that occurred in a top-secret project, brutal clones with physical abilities dozens of times greater than humans were created, and their massacre of humanity began. In order to exterminate the evil clones, the government created a single combat clone. His name is Olga----Olga (Satomi Mizutani), who got into Guevara's hideout to save his friend who fell into the hands of the evil clone Guevara, was waiting for the vicious clones' obscene rape.

The photographs are carefully selected from numerous submissions from amateurs, haunted by grudges and evil thoughts. Behind them lurk the most terrifying of all human grudges...

Miki Nakatani's film work, composed of clips from the single "Broken Heart" released on May 17, 2000, along with valuable interview shots and making-of footage. Consisting of three titles, the main story, which lasts about 19 minutes, is based on private shots of her bare face taken in Paris in the summer of 2000. After about 15 minutes of collaged footage of recitations, etc., the composition leads to the clip of "Kowareta Kokoro".

All of the photographs are new and were submitted by the general public, and have been carefully selected from among the many startling photographs. The series also examines some of the more notorious ones, as well as those that were submitted with advice, with episodes from the time the photos were taken.

Iki mixes old and new technologies to create a film that evokes both the sights and sounds (hum of cicadas) of a hot Japanese summer. Black and white photographs of a Shinto shrine, summer landscape and an old Japanese-style house provide the backdrop and CGI technology adds the visual interest in the form of an unusual little girl and her ghostly frog companion. The ghost in this story is more a curiosity than something scary, and the use of a fish-eye lens and other distortions suggest both the sweltering humidity of summer and also imply that the frog is an imaginary creation of the young protagonist

Naomi makes lesbian porn. But it's not the over-the-top-dumb-dialogue-kind of lesbian porn that guys get off on, so her producers demand a re-shoot. At the same time she's directing the first lesbian love story for a pseudo-reality TV dating show, with her bubbly Gen-X pal Azusa and an office manager/dominatrix go-go dancer named Miki as the featured couple. All the while, Naomi spends her nights online, confessing her fears and dreams to a gentle, supportive soul known only by her screen name Sugar.

Shin, a painter, gets a fatal disease and cannot stop the shaking of his right hand. His wife Kei is a counselor, but lives without emotions. Both vassals are killed by the enemy, but Shizu-Hime escapes. She wanders, destitute, for a short time and meets Shinbei. Shinbei at first takes her for a boy, and a thief, but shares his food with her. Just as he realizes that she is a girl, two warriors com swooping down and carry her away, pursued by more men in the uniforms of those who were chasing her before. Shinbei hears them call her a princess, and begins to plot to capture her and turn her in for a reward.

Mikasa seems to be a sweet young man but he is also a very skilfull sniper working for the company called Rakuen (Paradise). One day, a Rakuen's solicitor brings an old woman Kahoru to their office. She comes to kill Ei, a rival in the love triangle in the past. As they explain how to kill her, she gets very excited and begins to insist she has to do it by herself, and asks them to train her. She is so insistent that finally Mikasa agrees to train her. Despite the expensive fee and hard training, Kahoru never gives up. Meanwhile, Takashi, a man who as been suspicious about the death of his sister, reaches to Rakuen and Mikasa...

Mayor Iwakawa was voted into office in 1991, promising better welfare for senior citizens. As a result of his efforts to create a town with resident participation, while battling against anti-reform forces of the town council, Takanosu-machi becomes the best welfare town in Japan. In the nationwide local elections in 2003, however, Iwakawa, loses by a huge margin against the opposing candidate who promises the consolidation of local municipalities.

The dialogue is as close to poetry as possible, the images are as free as if they were captured directly on the camera, and the mountain summer grasses and abandoned buses have as much presence as the characters. And a light air, as if they were stitched together with humming. The film, which was made from images that sprang up rather than being worked out, asks the viewer to be sensitised rather than understood. The happiness and unconcernedness given by the many songs and smiles of the characters may be one of the origins of "making films because you love them".

Emi, Miho, Joni, and Takuma drive their car to an off-season vacation home. They had escaped with the money from the underground casino where they were working, and were supposed to meet Ichiro, the leader of the group, at the villa house to split the money. However, something was wrong in the town. The car radio is filled with noise, and the cell phone is out of service, so they cannot reach Ichiro. The town is as quiet as a ghost town, but some people are still there...

The dialogue in question takes place between a woman, who appears to be submerged in water, and a man who sits by a tree on sandy soil. The messages the couple sends back and forth to one another take the form of metaphor: a seed, a fish, a thorn, and so on.

An attempt to let one's identity emerge by piercing fragments of 8mm film shot over some 20 years. The filmmaker's muttering and breathing reverberate over a series of visual images that invoke the primitive pleasure of an image coming into focus. This is a tribute to the culture of 8mm film, which is nearing its end, and a personal film directed with an approach that sets it apart from other films.

"The Law of Causality" documents a live perfomance at Shibuya O-NEST, which took place on May 26, 2004. Director of "Tetsuo The Iron Man" Shinya Tsukamoto's crew filmed the gig, which features all new material based around metal percussion and custom intsruments built by Chu Ishikawa.
