Veiled Village

Two musicians joined a village protest against a newly built military base. Tragedy struck when the younger one died during the protest, with his final wish to be buried in front of the base. His heartbroken friend left everything behind but his guitar and moved to the village. Over the years, he struggles to keep the protest alive, visiting his friend’s restricted grave daily. As doubt creeps in, villagers begin to question the endless battle. Now, he faces a choice: continue fighting for a fading dream or finally let go of his friend’s haunting memory.

I enjoy religion, I appreciate belief systems and how they offer structure to people's lives. I also appreciate how spirituality manifests itself in Asian cultures as this almost earthbound presence guiding people through every day life and when they need an extra bit of help they need only ask whichever deity holds dominion over their desire. The Father's Heart

Seventy years ago, there was a person who stole tears while looking at the Korean War orphan dying in hunger and cold with the heart of his father. It was Everett Swanson (1913-1965). Compassion, which he started out of compassion for Korean War orphans, has provided miracles to more than 100,000 Korean children, including Kathy, a Korean orphan. Also, his father's heart that he harbored flowed toward children all over the world. Messod, a Rwandan boy, lost his father in 1994 Hwang Tae-hwan, a South Korean father who lost his son in 2023 A relay of love that changes the world with one person's power and has a good influence, it is a story of hope and emotion in which the giver and the receiver grow together.

"Can we continue playing yoyo?" It was a million-dollar question for Dae-yeol, Dong-hun, Hyun-woong, Dong-keon, and Jong-ki, all of whom had been yoyoing since childhood. In summer 2011, the five boys decided to go for the stages they had been dreaming of—it was going to be the last time before they say goodbye to their yoyo. Four of them, Dae-yeol, Dong-hun, Hyun-woong, and Dong-keon, went to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Jong-ki couldn’t afford the travel and took his shot at a TV talent show competition in Korea. The five tasted dreamlike moments, which, in turn, made their choices more difficult. Now, the yoyo means something different for each of them. But they have to face daunting reality no matter where they stand.

A Woman Being in Asia

This documentary is an "Asian report" on so-called international prostitution. The subject matter of parasitic tourism in Jeju Island in Korea is focused on, and it is said that international prostitution in Asia has a relationship between countries, focusing on Thailand and Japan, and that it is not only a problem between countries biased by the flow of capital, but also in the context of "sexual culture" with long roots. In the second half, the question is what is the alternative and what is the boundary between prostitution and non-prostitution in the current situation that is considered to be like "ghetto" because it is separated from the life of the general public.

This story is about two people who have been struggling for more than 40 years to remember Koreans forced into labor in the northern Akita region. Ha Jung-woong, a Korean-Japanese who succeeded as a businessman thanks to his outstanding abilities and the economic growth of Japan after the war, and Juroku Chatani, a Japanese historian who has built a culture village in the Akita region of northern Japan. Their efforts to unravel the mystery of the statue of Hime Kannon built on Lake Tazawa and to commemorate the Korean victims of forced labor are still ongoing.

Jae-nyun and Woo-young both suffer from brain lesions and have been dating for eight years. Now they face the next step in their life: marriage. They are no different from ordinary couples in Korea when marriage is concerned. Woo-young is forty years old. Ever since his father died, he could no longer delay his marriage with Jae-nyun and openly proposes to her several times. On the other hand, Jae-nyun, who was happy with Woo-young's first marriage proposal, experiences difficulty in giving a definite answer to Woo-young. She is worried about married life. To make matters worse, her future mother-in-law makes an interview of how she accepts Jae-nyun as her daughter-in-law, which suffocates Jae-nyun even more with the patriarchal custom the marriage system hides beneath the surface.

After the wave of #MeToo movement stories from various circles, did sexual violence survivors return to their normal lives? Finding the new 'normal' is now in the hands of those individuals. Even though the cases were closed, their memories always take them back to the past. Blighted by violence, their bodies stiffen up even with little touches. From getting out of bed, taking a shower to leaving the house, everyday is a battle with themselves. While many survivors feel they're body still remain in the past, dance therapists, choreographers and feminist activists have gathered and plan a movement workshop for trauma recovery. They feel their fingertips again and they move their toes. They re-experience inhaling and exhaling in a safe place. To survive this moment, they move together, and they prepare themselves for a return to daily lives.

"Wae(Distorted): The Cartel" is a shocking documentary film that conducts an in-depth analysis of various statistical and physical evidence revealed during South Korea's April 15, 2020 general election. The narration is provided by Yoon Joo-sang, a renowned actor and voice actor. The horrific election fraud—so hard to believe and yet impossible to ignore—did not end with the April 15 general election. It has continued even after the change of administration. It is our sincere hope that this film will help widely expose the appalling reality of election fraud that outrages the conscience of all people.

Queer My Friends portrays a very important chapter of Kang-won’s life: his coming out as gay and the changes he goes through from the eyes of his best friend Ah-hyun. This 30s coming-of-age buddy film draws how these two from such different backgrounds grow up together by questioning, exploring, and, of course, fighting each other. While Kang-Won struggles to embrace his sexuality, nationality, and identity, Ah-hyun asks herself what it means to find oneself and accept others for who they really are.
