There Is A Woman In The Attic

As shown as part of the LEE MILLER curation at Tate Britain with Girls In Film. There Is A Woman In The Attic is a personal response to seeing the LEE MILLER exhibition at Tate Britain. It is a reflective piece exploring the feeling of inequality about knowing details about an artist or celebrities personal life after viewing their work, yet knowing they don’t and might never know you. In retracing Miller's own footsteps and questioning this power balance and relationship, the film poses an examination into identity and asks how well we can really know a stranger as well as how well do we know ourselves.

From a traffic circle to multidimensional revitalization, how does this new generation bring fresh trends to the century-old landmark and traditional trades? The film captures this dialogue across time, exploring the fusion of old and new. More than a landmark, the fountain symbolizes the heart of Chiayi, where collective memories come full circle.

Weathered: After the LA Firestorm

Nearly a year after catastrophic wildfires reshaped Los Angeles, Weathered host Maiya May returns to ask a question facing communities worldwide: what does recovery truly look like in an era of escalating climate extremes? What she finds goes far beyond one city - survivors still grappling with loss, systemic failures, and unanswered questions that echo across fire-prone regions on every continent. Caroline Walker - Women's Work

We follow the internationally renowned Scottish artist Caroline Walker over four years as she makes large-scale paintings representing the unseen, often undervalued, aspects of women’s labour - from hospitals to hotels, nail bars to nursery settings. Walker’s paintings reveal the invisible labour that shapes women’s lives, from housework to caregiving to creative production. Weaving together footage from Walker’s studio, her family life and interviews with the female subjects of her paintings, we question the role that art can play in depicting the social politics of reproductive labour, nurture and care for the next generation. Following Walker through pregnancy and the birth of her second child, we explore her role of the ‘artist mother’. Through privileged access to the artist’s life and work, the film reveals how motherhood has shaped Walker’s approach, while acknowledging the importance of her own mother, Janet, in inspiring and supporting her creativity.
