Marina Vlady, an Actress During the Cold War

With stars of the screen, it is often only the Edgar Morin-like myth that remains; but viewed close up, an actress’s lifetime has more to do with destiny, and in Marina Vlady’s case, that destiny is unclassifiable, with over eighty classic films and more that were never released. It is across France, Italy, and chiefly Russia that this documentary, chock-full of rare archive material, takes us as it traces the journey of a free woman, making this not simply a documentary but a political film.

Remember My Song

The tavern "Jablan" existed in the 1980s and was located in a small village, Jugovo Polje, in Croatia, SFRY. "Jablan" was a symbol of "brotherhood and equality" for its owners, guests, musicians, and waiters. It was a place where people of different generations and education gathered - from workers and peasants to doctors, even music and sports stars of the '80s, it was a place where nationality and religious affiliation played no role. Nevertheless, the first shooting between Serbs and Croats took place in "Jablan", which heralded the war in Croatia and ended "Jablan's carefree days". The film protagonists reconstruct the events, from the day the tavern was created, to its destruction, witnessing how a place of love and joy became an object of hatred and destruction within a few months.

Terror - A Deeper Struggle

Filmed during their Latin America tour in January 2026, ‘A Deeper Struggle’ traces Terror’s path from their early days through to the making of ‘Still Suffer’, without trying to romanticise it, what comes through instead is endurance, a band that’s stayed rooted in hardcore while others have peeled off or faded out. There’s no reinvention arc here, just a clear look at how they’ve kept going. Combining live footage with candid testimonials from the band members themselves, the film examines the motivation of the veteran collective as they reflect on how far they have come and what still remains. Alongside this band documentary, the band has released their 10th full length 'Still Suffer'.

Greatness of Absence

What does an actor leave behind? That is the question that Alla Demidova asks herself, the audience, the eternity. She went and lived through the tragedies by Shakespeare, Electra, Phaedra, Medea. Where can one go henceforth? If only become a phantom, an image, something eternal, an enduring reflection of this world in the mirror. This film is a journey away from our reality to an imaginary universe, to reflections, images, phantoms. It starts with an exposition devoted to Alla Demidova at the St. Petersburg Museum of Theatre and Music Art. But it does not only document the space; thanks to Demidova's speech it turns into a retrospective of her work, the parts she played, an explication of her approach to acting.
