How to be a ghost in Bangkok?

After being ghosted by a romantic partner during a trip to Bangkok, the artist situates a contemporary act within a timeless Southeast Asian ghost cultural gesture, transforming personal heartbreak into a surreal exploration of ghosthood while reimagining its embodiment through ten playful yet haunting guidelines. Shifting between satire and introspection, the film contemplates the fragility of relationships and the futility and opacity of communication in the hyper-connected digital age.

To Infinity and Beyond

To infinity and Beyond combines documented footage with fictional narratives. The film consists of two parts made up of the same footage but narrated from two different, yet related, perspectives. The footage captures the activities of villagers in a Thai ceremonial tradition called 'Boon Bung Fai'. The objective of the ceremony, though quite forgotten, is to worship the sky and beg for the rain. The film explores juxtaposition between documentary and fiction; silence and sound; folk tale and modern-day news reporting, as well as relationships between man and nature, earth and sky, dream and reality, east and west, and most importantly, the past and the present that will lead us to the future.

SARIT & SIRA BROTHERS

A moving image captured by the director in 2025 depicts a late afternoon at a Catholic school in Thailand, as children leave for the day, mingling with teachers and parents waiting to pick them up. At a stone bench, two brothers, JAVA and JINO, are seen chatting, the elder being a friend of the director. The footage, originally shot on the director’s mobile phone, was later transformed to evoke the style of a silent film: the visuals were toned to resemble aged black-and-white film and accompanied by music from City Lights (1931) by Charlie Chaplin, enhancing the atmosphere reminiscent of the silent cinema’s final years in the early 1930s.
