A Patrizia: l’irrealtà ideale, l’oggetto d’amore

A silent film starring poetess Patrizia Vicinelli, shot in Turin and Morocco between 1968 and 1970. “We set out and traveled far because Patrizia had called us. The film bears witness to what we saw there and what we found upon returning home—the two things ideally united. In addition, it contains my personal inventory of love and visions, as well as the search for love, navigating between reality and unreality along the ideal thread and the obsession of the mind.”

Deliver Me

A film on the come back of exorcism in the contemporary world. Each year a growing number of people call their sense of unease “possession.” The Church answers to this spiritual emergency nominating an increasing number of exorcist priests and organizing training courses. Father Cataldo is one of the most sought-after exorcists in Sicily and elsewhere; he is famous for his tireless fighting spirit. Every Tuesday Gloria, Enrico, Anna, and Giulia, along with many others, attend Father Cataldo’s mass for deliverance, trying to find a cure for a sense of discomfort that has no answer nor a name. Whether believers or not, how far are we prepared to go to get recognition for our own disease? What are we prepared to do to be delivered from it, here and now?

5 anni e un'estate

Autumn 2018: Elia, Ester, Ginevra, Ilenia, Loris, and Tiffany begin their school journey at the primary school of Pieve Torina, newly rebuilt on the site of the previous one, which—like much of the town—was destroyed by the earthquake that struck the Marche region in 2016. From learning to read and write to filming videos of their own, the film follows them over the course of five school years, concluding in the summer of 2023, as they prepare to move on to middle school. Amid separations and reunions, online classes and afternoons at the swimming pool, with the rubble still visible and reconstruction ongoing, the children grow up before the camera.
