American Troubles: A Tale of Two Democracies

America's democracy feels more divided than ever - but what if the problem lies in how we vote? "American Troubles" explores whether proportional representation could break the cycle of dysfunction, drawing comparisons from two striking case studies: Portland, Oregon, where a bold new voting system is reshaping local politics, and Northern Ireland, where proportional elections helped end decades of violent conflict. Blending history, reform, and human stories, the film shows how electoral rules can entrench division - or create space for compromise.

Behind the Scenes of Dilan ITB 1997

Behind the Scenes of Dilan (Di Balik Layar Dilan) is an approximately 75-minute observational documentary that captures Ariel NOAH’s journey as he is entrusted with the role of the adult Dilan—a decision that immediately sparked public debate. Amidst the commentary, expectations, and the weight of nostalgia attached to the figure of Dilan, the film goes beyond simply observing the acting process; it dissects how a fictional character transforms into a collective memory contested by many. From Bandung as the birthplace of the myth, through intimate reading rooms, to the final day of shooting, the documentary follows Ariel's transformation as a human being, a public figure, and a new vessel for an icon. Ultimately, the film poses one profound question: when a myth changes bodies, who is truly being tested—the actor, the character, or the audience's own memory?

Our Land

In 2009, a man and two accomplices try to evict members of the Indigenous community of Chuschagasta in northern Argentina. Claiming ownership of the land and armed with guns, they kill the community’s leader, Javier Chocobar. The murder is caught on video. It takes nine years of protests before court proceedings are finally opened in 2018. During all this time, the killers remain free. The film combines the voices and photographs of the community with courtroom footage to explore the long history of colonialism and land dispossession that led to this crime.
