His influence was felt for decades after, until his passing in October 2022. He first came to the attention of the Australian public back in 1985 when, aged 15, he was featured on the popular television program 60 Minutes. The film invites reconsideration on the relationship between data storage and collective memory, highlighting the urgency of critically rethinking narratives of the digital future.

The Island In Me

The film follows two women who grew up in the remote atoll of Pukapuka in the Cook Islands and return home after decades away to find the atoll, and themselves, forever changed. Amelia Hokulea Borofsky, the daughter of anthropologist Robert Borofsky who lived in Pukapuka in the mid 1970’s and Johnny Frisbie, a Cook Island legend in her own right. Her book Miss Ulysses of Puka-Puka written at age fifteen, was the first published literary work by a Pacific Islander author. Both lived on Pukapuka as children and left at different times, but they both return to reconnect – with emotion, celebration, and a sense of belonging. Filmmaker Gemma Cubero del Barrio also weaves in her own intimate story.

This movie travels through the places where the musician went in the French capital, investigating the causes and effects of these encounters and the city in his work.

The documentary "Fungi Kingdom" is China's first systematic and comprehensive documentary on fungi. Over the course of two years, the production team ventured deep into primeval forests, using fungi as the narrative focus. Through the lens of a one-square-meter habitat, the ocean on land, and the concept of fungi giving rise to all things, the documentary gradually unveils the mysteries of the fungal kingdom from point, line, to plane, presenting a systematic and holistic perspective. It tells the story of the habitats within national parks—their ecology, the endless cycle of life, their diverse and fantastical nature, as well as the indispensable role fungi play in the ecosystem's cycle.

My 2022

A student at Karpenko-Karyi University, along with other dormitory residents, finds himself in the midst of war and begins to film the surrounding situation. Passing through the bewildered faces of students in a basement shelter, the panicked cries of people evacuating at the train station, and his own personal confusion, he finds himself in Ivano-Frankivsk. His classmate Vitaliy and his family take him in, and this event becomes a turning point in his new life. A life where there is no longer any room for doubts about human doom, where harmony and mutual support reign. The author comes to this conclusion and returns to Kyiv.
