Olle Möller

When Olle Möller is charged 1959 for the murder of Rut Lind, it becomes Sweden's biggest murder trial of all time. The accused killer Olle Möller is Sweden's most hated man. On March 7, 1941, Möller was sentenced to ten years in prison for attempted rape, assault and manslaughter. He was released conditionally on September 11, 1948 after serving seven years and nine months of the ten-year sentence. Rut Lind disappeared May 26, 1959, and was later found murdered. The indictment against Olle Möller was entirely based on circumstantial evidence and testimony. The court disregarded testimony from Möller's wife and employer, who argued that Möller could not have had the opportunity to do the deed.

We Are Family: Parenting and Foster Parenting in Gay Families

Susan Stamberg narrates WGBH’s documentary about lesbian and gay parents that explores the legal and social implications of homosexual parenting through the lives of three families. Concerns about AIDS, child molestation, sex education and the effect of the absence of a ‘’traditional’’ family setting on foster children are sensitively addressed. A careful look at what life is really like in lesbian and gay families, We Are Family is ultimately about the well-being of children. It concludes that homosexuals are as capable as heterosexuals of being committed, loving parents.

Uroboros

6,000 years ago, the goddess Jehva lived with her son and lover Abdijehva and the serpent Uroboros in her orchard paradise in the Middle East. In the Christian world, the obedient Mary, who 'helps her Lord save the world', remains as a remnant of the primordial mother who unites life and death. Once a year, an international pilgrimage of soldiers takes place to Lourdes. Based on the individual stages of this pilgrimage, the film shows the significance that the expulsion from paradise and the invention of the immaculate Mary have for us today.

Rally Argentina 1989

Two major events took place during 1989 in Argentina - Carlos Saul Menem was appointed new leader and the charismatic President saw off each car at the start of the Argentinian Rally at the Palermo Stadium. Local hero Recaldo with co-driver Jorge del Buono, led the field in one of the Lancia Delta Integrales but despite a flying start chose the wrong tyres. The challenge from Mikael Ericsson, Fiorio, Soto and Fischer led to some exciting duels and traumatic events which quickly whittled down the number of competitors. Only 33 crews completed the gruelling course out of the 77 starters. A memorable event faithfully recorded here for your enjoyment.

SkyeTrain

Shot in the middle of summer, the Kyle of Lochalsh line is seen at its most spectacular! To many it is the most scenic line in Britain. From Inverness to Dingwall we travel alongside the Beauly Firth and witness some of the last remaining Highland Railway semaphores still in operation at the time but long-since abolished. How many people realise that there was once a signal box at Lentran? We actually filmed inside it and recorded the sound in stereo. At Dingwall we turn due west for the Highlands proper and traverse the summits at Raven Rock, Corriemoillie and Luib (the highest at 646ft) and stations such as Garve, Achnasheen and Strathcarron set amidst the beautiful Highland scenery. Finally, the most spectacular section, Stromeferry to Kyle of Lochalsh along the shores of Loch Carron.

Nursing History

From 1968-1984, 60 minutes worth of history, on Super 8 film, were recorded. Out of this footage there were forty minutes of weddings and in each case it was the bridge that was related to our family. In reviewing this public record of interpreted events, I found myself living within memories of events that could not be seen. While watching these familiar faces represented in this official history, I recalled other versions of the events recorded, as well as other events that didn't get recorded but had occurred at the same time. I began to ask what else was being recorded here and whose histories were these images claiming to represent?
