Digamos

In Buenos Aires every week a large number of poetry dates are held with varied proposals: readings, slams, cycles, etc. Independent publishers continue to bet on expanding their catalogs. The authors use social networks so that their verses are consumed and shared by people who otherwise would not have accessed them. In Digamos, the protagonists of the scene contribute their voices and reflections on the world, exalting beauty in simplicity and reconfiguring the poetic concept that today is in full swing and transformation.

Los misterios de Trulalá

In April 2008 Manuel García Ferré - creator of Hijitus - visited the “School for Animators” in Rosario, accompanied by the animators Néstor Córdoba, Jorge Benedetti, Alberto Grisolía, the sound engineer Francisco Busso and the voice actor Pelusa Suero. The independent animators of Rosario had the opportunity to talk with them and exchange experiences. From that meeting, and from the contact and collaboration with different admirers and fans of the García Ferré universe, animation historians, and fellow cartoonists, this animated documentary was born, which pays tribute to the artists who paved the way for animation in the decade of the 60.

Canción de amor

"You might think that people are tired of silly love songs / but I look around and see that they are not," sang Paul McCartney. And those verses seem to guide Karin Idelson's camera in this exploration of, to call them somehow, the "popular applications" of romantic songs. Cumbia, soft-rock, reggaeton, pop, boleros, hits from the '80s and from before too: music is in the air of the city, and a love song traps it in places where it is so naturalized that we hardly pay it attention but also, and especially, in the most hidden or unusual.

Abyalí

In the capital of Cameroon, Yaoundé, an urban maze built in concrete and earth, seven young musicians dedicate their lives to a dream: to give birth to Abyali Percusión. A musical project that aims to rescue traditional rhythms from oblivion, so that they do not get lost, and spread them around the world. They aspire to be able to live off their passion in a country where the record industry is non-existent and where theaters are scarce. Within this bleak panorama, after 2 years of intense work, facing serious economic difficulties, a possibility appears on the horizon, the Abok I N’goma dance and percussion festival. Tension mounts in the group as the date approaches; internal friction, annoyance with their mentor, Master Amadou Kienou, but they know that they can only keep working, because only work pays. Abyali is a vision of contemporary urban Africa narrated to the beats of drums, the same beats that fuel Abyali's Percussion dream.

The Many Pink Triangles

This documentary tells the story of the LGBTTI communities who have suffered persecution, prison and torture for their sexual condition under different military dictatorships in recent decades. The idea borns from the photographic and archival project for the recovery of the historical memory of the different LGBTTI communities in the world, a chapter of history too often hidden and forgotten. This first chapter is a journey around Spain, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, countries where the dictatorship has strongly marked the history of the LGBTTI community, oppressed by police regimes and social intolerance.
