The film portrays the archaeological excavations carried out at the headquarters of the now-defunct DOI-Codi (Information Operations Detachment – Internal Defense Operations Center), a place where, it is estimated, more than 7,000 political prisoners experienced torture and horror. The complex of five buildings, listed in 2014, operated from 1969 to 1983 as a repressive agency of the brazilian military dictatorship. The researchers' search for material remains and evidence of the passage of victims of repression through the site, such as inscriptions on the walls, personal objects and paper records, is essential to keeping alive the memory of the atrocities of the military dictatorship in Brazil.

The short film transports us to a typical day in the heart of Sorocaba, revealing the vibrant pulse of the city center through the eyes of its workers. From sunrise to the frenetic hustle of daily life, we follow a water vendor who crosses paths with street sellers, shopkeepers, and passersby, while voiceovers give life to the dreams, challenges, and personal stories of these urban characters. As the sun sets, the journey culminates in a nighttime samba, where music and joy offer a moment of relief to those who live the daily grind. A celebration of everyday life and human resilience.
