Put the Brights On interviews four rural Transgender subjects from the Minnesota Lakes Region. The film works against common use portrayals of the rural and life in "the country" as quaint, cute, or dangerous and dumb, often with a sense of humor. Use of found footage, 16mm and Super 8 matched with the contemporary audio track give Put the Bright On a parallel low fi visual/hi fi audio contrast.

"Lightmare" was inspired by a group of youths who used to race motorcycles by my house. They would sometimes ride when I was trying to get my young daughter to sleep and caused great aggravation for me. The neighbors became quite worried as well and eventually the police were engaged to stop the racing, unsuccessfully. Stories began to spread about who the youths were and what poor conditions their parents were raising them in. The film attempts to capture the anxiety of the neighborhood, using negative space as a mask to subvert the audience's expectations of horizon and depth. In contrast, much of the content underscores the triviality of the perceived threat.

The weapon carrier Wiesel is a small track vehicle of the Bundeswehr. Visually, it looks like a toy tank, but it's packed with firepower and power. The 20mm machine gun and the anti-tank guided missile TOW are dangerous weapons. The weasel was designed to be extra small and light so that it can be quickly brought into its field of application by helicopter and transport aircraft. It is probably the most diverse armored vehicle in the Bundeswehr.
