A Good Wife

‘A Good Wife’ is a deeply personal exploration of womanhood, marriage, and freedom within an Indian community. In Kolkata, a Hindu-Marwari filmmaker prepares to end her marriage while her mother devotes herself to arranging her brother’s bride. Between these parallel searches — for divorce and for a bride — unfolds a study of devotion, silence, and defiance. Through intimate filmmaking, she challenges these expectations, exposing contradictions and seeking personal liberation. This film is her attempt to reclaim agency, question inherited beliefs, and spark dialogue on autonomy and identity. Layering observation with personal reflection, the film questions who defines virtue, who carries the weight of tradition, and ultimately, what it means to be 'A Good Wife.'

Memories Frozen in Time

Eighty years after World War II, memory clings like frost to glass-blurred, fractured, yet never fully fading. Filmmaker Ming Chun retraces the forgotten journey of Taiwanese soldiers conscripted by Japan, captured by the Soviets, and exiled to Siberia. From departure and defeat to captivity and return, he follows a path of war and displacement-toward a home that no longer felt like home. Across Taiwan, Japan, and Russia, he searches for traces of their lives-abandoned camps, fading photographs, fragments of memory-while opening a dialogue across three generations: elders whose recollections falter, children burdened with unanswered questions, grandchildren confronting fractured identities. When history falls silent, what do we hear? And where do restless souls finally belong?

Fencing Teacher

The great Mark Rakita is rightfully considered the father of the Russian sabre. One of Russia's most decorated fencers, he won his first Olympic gold back in Tokyo in 1964, and the second in Mexico City in 1968. In addition, he is a six-time world champion, a five-time European champion and a three-time USSR champion. Mark Rakita is also a great fencing coach and teacher, and it's not for nothing that he was awarded the title of Honored Coach of the USSR: he trained Olympic champions Viktor Krovopuskov and Mikhail Burtsev, as well as three—time world champion Sergei Koryazhkin. Rakita was feared because he was considered the smartest saber player on the globe and won not at the expense of strength, but at the expense of intelligence. Today Mark Rakita is 87, but he is still in the ranks – he is chairman of the Council of Elders and chairman of the Coaching Council of the Russian Fencing Federation.

A Whisper I Hear

Slavka lives in a house beneath the hill. During winter, her mother Miluša stays with her. She takes care of her, cooks, dresses her, helps her. She deals with insomnia by keeping herself busy with housework and small daily tasks. She gives insomnia space to live. When she sits down, the silence bothers her. In the workshop where her husband used to work, besides the empty space and dust-covered machines, there are piles of coal and firewood. She goes down to collect them. Sometimes she starts the machine, just to hear the sound. She chops the wood into small pieces on it. At night, she lies down, but soon enough, another morning arrives, another day that never seems to end.
