Wolf: Wanderer Without Borders

The wolf was almost completely eradicated in Europe over the past few centuries. The species also disappeared from the Netherlands 150 years ago and it was believed that this was forever. Only small populations survived in the large forests of Eastern Europe. In recent decades, not only did the wolf get legal protection, it also started a remarkable comeback. With time this magnificent animal found its way back from Poland through Germany to the Netherlands and Belgium. The carnivore, around which there are many myths and which is very often portrayed as bloodthirsty, welcomed back by many and despised by others. Are wolves really that dangerous to people? This exceptional documentary follows the journey of a young, lone wolf which grows up in eastern Germany and then head westwards on its search for its own territory and a consort to finally settle down in the Netherlands to found there the first permanent wolf pack since the extermination of the species long time ago.

Believing that televised news is a great way to become politically educated they try to devise a plan to get young adults watching the news by combining it with adult softcore material to entice viewers to tune in regularly and therefore becoming politically aware and potentially engaged. When you run out of traditional methods you've got to think outside the box and that's what Getting Involved is all about.

OTTOLINGER Spring Summer 2023

Ottolinger's Spring/Summer 2023 collection, presented at Paris Fashion Week, showcased a fusion of deconstructed silhouettes and futuristic materials. Designers Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient emphasized skintight bodysuits, layered ensembles, and garments dipped in rubber, creating a distinctive texture and visual appeal. The use of recycled materials, such as leather-look trousers made from recycled polyester, underscored the brand's commitment to sustainability. Electric hues of red, blue, and green contrasted against neutral tones, enhancing the collection's dynamic feel. Accessories like punked-up court shoes encased in rubber and chunky, twisted sunglasses added to the collection's bold statement.

Weather Makers

The weather station on the Khodovarikha peninsula on the edge of the Russian Arctic Ocean in the Nenets Autonomous District is probably one of the loneliest workplaces in the world. Unimaginably the weather for our weather forecasts is measured there using the simplest of tools without any electronics. The residents are a professional soldier who has been retrained as a meteorologist and was traumatized in the Chechen war, his young wife, whose previous life in the world of cities and money was a brutal failure, a cancer-stricken pensioner who has returned to his birthplace, the aggressive, boozy head of the station with a dubious, possibly criminal past, and Jack, the dog. Five traumatized souls removed from society, who, in the solitude of the seemingly paradisiacal, hostile nature of the Arctic, try to deal with themselves, the absence of civilization, their human needs and shortcomings, and to master their lives.

See You Friday, Robinson

"We should start with a correspondence, maybe we will not correspond to one another. Ebrahim can send me a letter this Friday, and I'll answer him next Friday. So, see you Friday, Robinson!" And so, Jean-Luc Godard stages himself in his daily thought, wisely desperate, and sends images and words from Switzerland to the other side of the Channel. In his mansion in Sussex, Ebrahim Golestan tries to decode these UFO-messages and skilfully seeks to bring them back to the appearance of reason. And so on, until the day a veil falls over the two Gods on the run. Does the existence of poets still have any meaning in these times of distress?
