Following for a whole winter the daily life of three workers on unemployment benefits, the film narrates the decline, now definitive, of a whole idea of work and society and the subsequent emptiness. Such a transition concerns the whole of Italy, where a fourth of the industrial power was lost in the last five years. However, Italy is not clearly dealing with such a transition yet. Now that bread is finished, how are we going to reinvent our life?

Chris Marker’s Stopover in Dubai is a found-footage documentary reconstructed from CCTV material released by Dubai State Security, documenting the 2010 assassination of Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Mabhouh. The footage follows a team of 26 assassins moving through hotels and corridors on the day of the killing. Marker retained the original images but replaced the broadcast’s generic soundtrack with Henryk Górecki’s music performed by the Kronos Quartet.

She is a Japanese pop artist associated with the Superflat movement.Influenced by both manga and American Science Fiction, her art typically depicts large-eyed female heroines, often partially or completely nude. Known for mostly her drawings and paintings, she usually works in ink and acrylics. Drawing has also been the base for other works such as 2004's Subterraned, a comic book like series, or in video, such as The World After 800,000,000 Years, in which small adventures usually take place.
