Adult Human Female

The first UK documentary feature to look at the clash between women’s rights and gender ideology. In record time, gender ideology has captured the big institutions: the police, the political parties, the media, the universities and major corporations have taken up the cause in the name of inclusiveness. Gender ideology allows men to identify into the female sex - but is that really harmless? Is it progressive for doctors to modify the bodies of young people in the name of changing their 'gender'? There has been a manufactured confusion around sex and gender. At the same time we are told that 'there is no debate'. Dissenters are cast as 'haters' and cancelled. This is not only a struggle to defend women’s rights - at risk is safeguarding for children and young people, biological reality, reason and even democracy. Reality denial comes at a price.

Greece: The Hidden War

The complete version of “Greece: The Hidden War” television series produced by Jane Gabriel consists of 3 episodes: “The Battle for Athens”, “The Civil War”, “The Homecoming", and explores the profound impact British policy in the 1940s had on Greek democracy and society for decades. Broadcast in 1986, it gave rise to “the biggest uproar in the history of British television”. Greek interviewees who lived through the events of that time speak openly about their experiences. The defeated Left fled into exile in 1949 and waited more than thirty years for the Amnesty of 1982 to return. After extensive coverage of the row in the British press, Channel 4 agreed that the series would not be shown again either in the UK or abroad. - Yanis Yanoulopoulos, Historical Advisor to the television series, Emeritus Professor, Panteion University

The Big Picture

The Big Picture uncovers the untold story of a state-of-the-art cinema quietly forgotten in the center of Bristol, a vibrant UK city known for its countercultural spirit. Once a cutting-edge IMAX theatre, the building was abandoned for over a decade—until a collective of cinephiles reclaimed it. Blending DIY ingenuity with punk ethos, they’ve transformed a forgotten relic into the beating heart of a grassroots cinema movement—reviving not just a building, but a shared vision of what cinema can be.

Milk

What we show in Milk is literally the best of the best when it comes to dairy farming, yet, as soon we view what happens from the perspective of the mother cow, it becomes clear that this is an industry that runs on the exploitation and suffering of animals. By using animation, we are able to show a unique perspective and tell the story of the mother cow in a way that cannot be done from investigative footage alone. Milk centres the cow as the protagonist of her own story and allows us to view what is happening to her from an up close and personal perspective. Organic, free-range, high-welfare, humanely raised. It doesn’t matter what label we put on dairy products, all dairy cows are victims of an industry that forcibly impregnates them, takes their babies from them, exploits their bodies and then sends them to a slaughterhouse to cut their throats. It's time to end the dairy industry.

The Search for the Lost Manuscript: Julian of Norwich

In this hour-long documentary, Dr Janina Ramirez tells the incredible story of a book hidden for centuries in the shadows of history, the first book ever written in English by a woman, Julian of Norwich, in 1373. Revelations of Divine Love dared to present an alternative vision of man's relationship with God, a theology fundamentally at odds with the church of Julian's time, and for 500 years the book was suppressed. It re-emerged in the 20th century as an iconic text for the women's movement and was acknowledged as a literary masterpiece.

Broken Token

A single female voice sings of waiting in her garden for her ‘dark-eyed sailor’ to return from war, bearing the other half of their token, a gimmel ring. Three veterans pass on the road as she waits, and she asks them: “When you were fighting in distant lands, did you think of the home you left?” In reply the veterans relate their recollections. The garden images in the accompanying film represent ‘home’, but also stand for a more general possibility of redemption, of the potential of the past to return at any time, disguised and changed, to renew the present: “Each moment of time is a garden gate,” the song goes, “Through it my love may walk.”
