The Beauty in Mourning

A beautiful widow named Ruriko Omuta visits the Akechi residence and asks Kogoro Akechi to provide her with personal security. Just then, art dealer Yamano is shot dead right before Ruriko’s eyes. Sensing that there is more to the incident than meets the eye, Akechi sets out to investigate on his own. Meanwhile, back in her hometown of Nagasaki, a man named Shigeyuki Satomi—claiming to be a distant relative of Ruriko’s late husband—appears before her. Though Ruriko finds herself drawn to Satomi, she already has a lover named Yoshio Kawamura. What’s more, Kawamura has been involved in a terrible crime alongside Ruriko. A thriller about a maniac murderer who to the outside world is a celebrity TV presenter. His beautiful assistant, a woman who has fallen off the career ladder, is terrorized by him. A job-hunting animation artist gets caught in the world of glitter and glamour of the TV industry. Drugs and promiscuity are omnipresent. The animation artist falls in love with the assistant and his love is returned; together they uncover the true identity of the killer. Murderous Decisions is a special experiment: an interactive zap-movie, leaving it up to the viewer whether they follow the story from the male or female perspective. The movie is one of a kind, actually being two movies aired simutaneously on separate TV channels and allowing the viewer to switch back and forth at will.

Time at the Top

14-year old Susan Shawson travels back in time in her building's elevator. As altered by a retired physicist living in her building, it transports her from Philadelphia of 1998 back to the same place in 1881. There she meets Victoria Walker, a girl her own age in need of assistance with her own family problems. Gradually discovering the power of her time machine, Susan, Victoria, and her young brother Robert travel back and forth in time and succeed in changing both the past and the future.
