Infrasexum

A middle-aged man is having problems trying to regain his sexual drive. He leaves behind his old life and tries to discover a simpler happiness through painting and meeting new friends. Wanting to save him from a sexless fate, his friend (director Carlos Tobalina in a supporting role) attempts to solve the mystery of his sexual shortcomings, through any means possible. Filled with incredible footage of Las Vegas, the Sierra Nevada and elsewhere, as well as subplots involving kidnapping, and even a bit of unexpected gore, filmmaker Carlos Tobalina’s debut feature is a totally unique sexploitation experiment that showcases many of the stylistic touches that would become his trademarks, along with a cast of beautiful starlets, including Sharon Matt and Marsha Jordan.

Le dossier Chelsea Street

A French telefilm broadcast on 30th September 1962, this is a detective fiction, set in London, 1927. The plot is set in a single space... a police interrogation room for suspects. It has only three characters; the suspect, who is an architect, and an idealist influenced by radical ideas. The other two characters are policemen, who try to coax from him the motive behind the death (murder?) of his three year old child. Even in a remastered DVD, the beta production values of a television production will be evident. But at barely a few minutes over an hour, it packs a brisk, at times rushed, but an interesting narrative. Makes one wonder, what other gems must the TV vaults in France (and UK, and Germany, and Italy) conceal?

Meanwhile, his mother is violently arguing with Marta, who throws her down the stairs and repeatedly bashes her head on the floor. The distraught Mino descends into madness: he picks up a stripper at a nightclub and brings her home, then strangles her while having sex next to Laura's dead body. He does the same with a prostitute. Marta discovers these murders and offers to help dispose of bodies. A year later, Daniela (Laura's twin sister) arrives at the castle...

Nameless Island

In 1958, during Chiang Kai-shek’s threats to retake the mainland, the Kuomintang navy attacked Fujian Province’s coast. The landing ship “Dacheng” was sunk by our torpedo boats, and Captain Wu John led troops to an unnamed island. Naval political instructor Wang Yongzhi and others, who fell into the water after a collision, also drifted there. They launched a political offensive against the enemy, who, unaware of our capabilities, awaited rescue. Prisoner Sun Gui swam back to his comrades, witnessed the cook’s beating, and returned to our side. Wang Yongzhi, seeing the enemy’s wait for rescue, forced them to reveal themselves. The enemy tried a fake negotiation to delay time. At night, Cai Dage brought reinforcements, eliminating the enemy on the island and their rescue ship.
