The Magnificent Texan

A gang of bandits burn down the Red House belonging to Pablo Lopez. The whole Lopez family is murdered except ten year old Manuel, who is scarred for life by the horrifying sight of his dead parents and burning home. Fifteen years later, Manuel has grown up. After living through many adventures he returns to his village in disguise. Two things are on his mind: to find his long-loved Evelyn and to take revenge on those responsible for the slaughter at the Red House.

The Shadow of Zorro

A battle between revolutionary Mexicans and the U.S. cavalry brings Zorro onto the scene to enact vengeance for violent acts incurred by the cavalry Sergeant. Once the Sergeant is killed, Don Jose de la Torre retires from being Zorro and settles down to live a quiet life. The brother of the Sergeant, in an act of his own justice, dons the costume of Zorro and terrorizes the countryside. In an act to draw out the true Zorro, the imposter kidnaps Don Jose's wife, making him once again don the mask to rescue her.

Both versions finds the citizens of Rockford upset over a series of murders and robberies. The Sundowners - Andy Clyde, Jay Kirby and Russ Wade - ride into Rockford and innocently takes jobs with Tug Wilson and his tough crew of line riders, who are in cahoots with Yeager in a big land swindle scheme.

Rob Burson wrote,directed and stars in the 2020 indie drama HELL OF A HEARTACHE. The film introduces us to Bobby Thompson, a musician whose fleeting success in country music has trailed off to small town bars where the alcoholic singer shakily holds things together. Barely responsible for himself, Bobby's hazy life comes into sharp focus when a old fan stops by and leaves her twelve year old daughter with him, swearing he's the father. We see father and potential daughter cautiously size each other up in his beat-up motel apartment while they wait the 10 days for the DNA results in the mail.

The Half-Breed

In an attempt to brand himself as a serious actor, the smiling swashbuckler Douglas Fairbanks starred in THE HALF-BREED (1916), a Western melodrama written by Anita Loos and directed with flair by Allan Dwan. Fairbanks stars as Lo Dorman, who has been ostracized from society because of this mixed ethnicity - his Native American mother was abandoned by his white father. When Lo catches the eye of the rich white debutante Nellie (Jewel Carmen), he becomes a target for the racist Sheriff Dunn (Sam De Grasse), who wants to break them up and take Nelli for his own. This love triangle becomes a quadrangle with the arrival of Teresa (Alma Rubens), who is on the run from the law. Through fire and fury Lo must decide who and what he truly loves.

One-time cavalry officer Rex Allen, between jobs as a star rodeo rider, is asked by his former commanding officer, Colonel Bigelow, to help settle a dispute between the army and local ranchers. The cavalry has commandeered a large parcel of land needed to test their newly-designed tank and prominent rancher Jenson has encited the locals to rebel at this intrusion. It is up to Rex and his sidekick, Slim, to thwart Jenson and convince the residents that these army tests are essential.
