The aftermath of a shocking explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power station made hundreds of people sacrifice their lives to clean up the site of the catastrophe and to successfully prevent an even bigger disaster that could have turned a large part of the European continent into an uninhabitable exclusion zone. This is their story.

December of 1941, Northwestern Front. A German tank column is moving towards Moscow. During a mission to stop the enemy advance, Nikolai Komlev's IL-2 is shot down. Komlev manages to crash-land his plane in a remote forest clearing. He's alive, but far from friendly territory. Ahead of him is a relentless trial of severe physical and mental endurance. After battling hunger and extreme cold, evading packs of wolves and detachments of Nazi soldiers, the wounded Komlev finally makes it back to safety. But there he faces another challenge, the most life-changing of them all.

December 30, 1941. Vyazma ('Vyazemsky cauldron') is a small detachment of Soviet soldiers, by fatal coincidence, in an unequal battle with a special unit of the Wehrmacht. However, none of them think about giving up. Each of them was ready to sacrifice his life in order to protect his native land. None of these brave people was born a hero. The myth of the red ghost is a heroic deed without a soldier's Soviet soldier in the Great Patriotic War who instilled in the animals, deadly fear of German soldiers. In place of one of the dead hero was inserted another, and the born myth of the invincible Soviet soldier. The film 'Red Ghost' is about the hope that each soldier will have.

After months of exhausting trench warfare, most of Major Belyaev's battalion was destroyed. The area is ruled by German aces snipers. Hope for replenishment collapses when the convoy, in which the Soviet snipers were traveling, falls under a German airstrike. A handful of soldiers and a young hunter from Yakutia, Yegor Cheerin, survive.

Academician Sakharov is known all over the world: someone as the creator of the hydrogen bomb, someone as an outstanding public figure and human rights activist. All his life Andrei Sakharov lived between two fires - science and humanism - and this dualism formed the basis of the film. December 1936. The elite First House of Soviets, the House of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR (now "House on the Embankment"). The Soviet elite is not yet aware of the massive repressions that will take place next year. The nighttime disappearances of neighbors are regarded as transfers thereof to important tasks of the Communist party. Yakov Natanovich Brandenburgsky, a famous lawyer and employee of the Supreme Court, is included in the "album" lists of the NKVD of the USSR and, being a creative person, finds a way to save his family and himself from "night arrest".

How to understand - where is good and where is evil? Who can be trusted, and who needs to be circumvented per kilometer. Elder Ivan, who was revered as a saint, turns out to be a murderer. And the city beauty Adelaide with strange habits is a ray of light in the village kingdom. Ordinary residents, peasants and serfs of the 19th century faced a difficult choice - is everything really, as they see it, or is there something more hidden behind obvious things?

There is no escape from the war... 1942. While all the forces of the country are thrown into the fight against fascist Germany, in the southern part of Yakutia there are gangs robbing gold mines. The largest of them is the elusive and brutal Popov gang, which collects stolen gold to organize a military coup in the Far East. In their footsteps, a small detachment of the NKVD under the leadership of Senior Lieutenant Karasev is sent through the snow-covered endless taiga.

Petrograd, Soviet Union, 1920s. Boris Letush, devastated by a personal tragedy, feels the need to put his conscience and his principles before the demands of the cruel system he serves, where law and justice are systematically ignored.

Fall of 1941. Freshly graduated from school, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya volunteers for a partisan unit. During an assignment, her comrades are ambushed, and she is captured by the Nazis. She endures hours of grueling interrogations and horrendous torture, but defiantly refuses to divulge any information that would compromise other units’ partisan missions. She doesn’t even tell her captors her real name. Zoya’s sacrifice was not in vain; it ignited fire in the hearts of millions of people and became the symbol of selfless heroism during WWII. She is one of the most celebrated heroes of that time.

The picture is dedicated to the exploits of the Soviet underground fighters and partisans who heroically fought against the German invaders during the Great Patriotic War. The image of the main character of the railway worker Ales Arlovich is collective, but it is based on the fate of the Soviet underground fighter Fyodor Krylovich, who committed the largest land sabotage of the Second World War at the Osipovichi railway station.

Five young men set out in search of Kolchak's legendary gold, following a map accidentally discovered in the museum's storerooms. Each treasure hunter pursues their own goals, but a tragic accident changes all their plans and forces them to act according to the brutal rules of the "gold rush." ​​Unexpectedly, the expedition's search is overtaken by the centuries-old past of these places—those very same fractures in time prophetically spoken of by one of the gold bar hunters. Outside the window, it is gradually getting warmer, the onset of spring is felt, promising hope for the possibility of changes in the country. The hero of the film is fond of space. The young man, who idolizes Gagarin, is engaged in reconstruction, making the uniform in which the cosmonaut walked in the prime of his glory. Our hero is also a film enthusiast. He makes films with stories of space flights and shows them to his friends. The film is stylized as amateur films of the 1980s and was shot on a 16-mm color film made by the company" Svema", made in the Soviet Union. The quality of this film allows the viewer to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the time of the film, which is dedicated to Soviet cosmonautics and Edward D. Wood Jr.

Golden autumn. Yakut hinterland. More than ten years have passed since the end of the Great Patriotic War. A 23-year-old boy named Mahees is given the task by the collective farm chairman to accompany the young teacher to a neighboring village. Aanchyk, that's the name of the girl, after completing her studies, she is assigned to work in a rural school. It would seem that a simple task turns into a real challenge for young people. A bear suddenly appears on their way. He pursues them. The heroes of the film understand that all this is happening to them for a reason. A chain of unusual meetings, strange finds, bitter memories, disturbing dreams and visions lead to the answer to the most important question in the life of the protagonist: who is his father and where did he disappear to?! After all, his father went to war, and never returned... Mehees understands that this is all connected with his father - a former hunter and now a missing soldier.

The film restores the panorama of the centuries. Journalistic narration with extensive use of artistic reconstructions, computer graphics, animation shows that the business tradition in the region was not interrupted. She manifests herself in different ways in different eras. A key trick used by different types of screen technologies is animation. Monuments to great people, buildings, industrial structures, landscapes of the Volga and Oka, film and photo chronicles are transformed, change in time and space, acquire a different dimension in order to somehow interact with the present, enter into a dialogue with descendants.

1919, fragments of the Qing Empire. A young Red Army soldier leads a Tuvan arat into the city to be shot because he helped a small detachment of Cossacks escape from encirclement. But a seemingly simple task does not go according to plan and along the way the heroes have to go through many tests.
