Imagin Anime: Momotaros Forever!/Imajin Terminal Station

An animated short shown with Farewell Kamen Rider Den-O: Final Countdown. In the short, Momotaros feels bad that it is really the end of Kamen Rider Den-O as Urataros assures him that all good stories have to end sometime. After Kintaros and Ryutaros try to make sequels to classic stories that cannot have a sequel (A Dog of Flanders and Little-Match Girl), the Imagin end up on the moon in homage to Galaxy Express 999, embracing their final story. A later retelling of this short, Be Forever Momotaros: Imagin Terminal Station, provides an alternate ending where the story does continue with numerous new characters and Momotaros freaks out about it.

What's Michael? 2

Michael the tabby cat returns for another series of vignettes. The sketches this time include a send-up of The Fugitive — Richard Kimble is now a veterinarian on the lam. Despite the danger, he must intervene whenever he sees a cat (always Michael) suffering; after treating the patient, he plays a trick on the cat and runs away. Another sketch draws parallels between wandering husbands and wandering house cats, who seem to have similar proclivities. Two more point out what happens when a cat's instincts run up against the requirements of baseball or pro wrestling.

Crazy Love

Correlated with Susan Sontag's theorization of kitsch as well as employing the queer lingo of "camp," this film's relentless equal opportunity pop-art montage shattered the foundations of conventional cinema, making it a true document of the Shinjuku underground scene. Director Okabe himself appears recreating his favorite roles from Bonnie and Clyde to Spaghetti Westerns, as well as incorporating quotations by inserting stills of Godard, Kennedy’s assassination and the Vietnam War.
