A poet named Butterfly and her friend Kuen visit a stranger's mansion to return some possessions that were unintentionally taken. At the house, they stumbled upon an illegal weapons trade that ultimately went bad. To evade the police from interrogations, the two innocent witnesses wiped away their fingerprints and left a note that stated that the crimes were committed by "The Black Rose," who is known to be a fictional hero in a 1965 movie. However, a recovered fingerprint caused Kuen to be the prime suspect, and the apprentices of the Black Rose, apparently a real hero whose legacy was portrayed in the 1965 movie, attempt to seek the truth in the matter by confronting Butterfly.

McDull is not the brightest kid on the block, but he continuously tries to do his best to please his mother. Still it seems he may not be destined for great things like she wishes, but McDull strives to try anyway.

Szeto Chun Yat, a young businessman, has recently returned to Hong Kong to open a branch of a Japanese company. To save money, he rents a flat to share with Carly, a lovely but unemployed fashion designer. The two hit it off as friends, and Szeto hires her to handle the cooking and cleaning while she looks for work. The plot is a trifle about an obnoxious restaurant delivery boy causing trouble with some local bad guys for the cook who secretly knows kung fu, eventually learning some techniques and finally, with the cook, confronting the bad guys.

Couples, Couples, Couples is a largely broad comedy about the vagaries of romance and babymaking.

Some of the events are presumably inspired by real life experiences, others have a distinct air of wishful fabrication. The over-the-top Kung Fu star, deserted by director and crew as he goes through his pointless extended routine, for instance. Or the action heroes, sweating in furs while they dutifully munch through their meal scene, 'snow' falling outside in studio land.

Inspector E.T. (Alex Man) investigates a murder case reported by singer Chu Szu Ting (Shirley Lui). The suspect, plastic factory owner Lu (Michael Tong) testifies and is acquitted. An important clue is later found and killer Lu comes to attack Szu Ting only to be stopped and killed by E.T. and his men. E.T., who has been estranged from his wife, tries different tricks to woo Szu Ting and eventually wins her heart. Her long lost father Chu Hung (Ku Feng), newly discharged from prison, intends to retrieve a hidden loot and tells her of his intention to join her. Szu Ting tells E.T. to probe his background when E.T. is injured and hospitalized. She takes her father to their former residence as ordered, but something there makes her suspicious of his identity. She spots him holding an axe and shouts for help when he is killed by someone sent by E.T. to secretly protect her.

Kwong and Ming, two boys from rural China, sneak into Hong Kong to get quick rich. But they are instantly disillusioned and they get into messy situations. The superstar who looks exactly like Kwong has a nasty spill in a dangerous stunt and dies. Kwong is recruited to stand in. Money and all life's amenities become available to the pair. While Ming makes the best out of the situation by gambling and womanizing, Kwong realizes that his own amazement money is not everything.

The story revolves around a Spring, a hitman from mainland China who is on a mission in Hong Kong with his partner Setting Sun. However, Spring falls ill and comes under the care of a screenwriter by the name of Soya and they find themselves developing into a tight and everlasting friendship.

On the surface, the wives appear to be living in harmony but they actually compete against each other for the family's wealth. Since all three know Kung Fu, they sometimes have a martial arts showdown during dinner! Their fighting intensifies when Mr. Ho brings his love child, Ah Fai back home. Mr. Ho loves him very much, but his wives and other sons want him gone. Mr. Ho knows he is getting old, so he suggests that each of his sons to manages a Mahjong club for a period of time. Whichever one can get the best results will be the heir to his fortune.

Tina Ti leads a star-studded cast in this hilarious farce as a pickpocket who, while fleeing the police, stumbles into an apartment occupied by seven single men. All hungry for a woman's affection, the men agree to take her in. However, what she doesn't know is that each of the men is coming up with ridiculous ways to have their way with her. A surreal comedy about sexual repression and sexual fantasies, the film mocks the desperate measures people take in the name of sexual gratification. Even though it is an erotic comedy at heart, it is never lewd or exploitative. In fact, like other Cantonese films at the time, the story even ends on a moralistic note as Tam Bing-man's character convinces the pickpocket to turn herself in and mend her ways.

Cindy is a rising pop singer who, unbeknown to her, is being stalked by a crazy fan. In response, her "Foster Mother" calls in the police to help. The first story is about a yob who sells pirated CDs and hacks a police girl. The second story is about Mr. Shaw, who loves big-breasted women and makes his wife get breast implants. The third story is about a conceited playboy, Wong, who believes he can get any girl and sets his sights on a lesbian.

After some teenagers discover the body, her spirit returns to take revenge on the man who wronged her by possessing the bodies of other girls.

A club hostess is murdered by her gangster boyfriend and her ghost comes back for revenge. Her two hostess housemates are much more upset by her return than her death (which didn't seem to bother them much at all), and their boyfriends are kind of freaked too, but when they're not gambling they are persuaded to help the ghost take revenge.

Two people in debt to loan sharks cooperate with each other to clear their debt and cheat other people out of their money.
