For the 17-year-old Mariza, there is no other house than the train station in Civitavecchia. Here, an orphaned girl lives early after the death of her father, a railwayman; here she earns additionally at the station buffet, selling ice cream to passengers of passing trains. Beautiful and brisk, she was accustomed to the admiration of others and perfectly mastered the art of coquetry, but Marise’s heart remains calm until the young sailor Angelo, who is in a hurry on her first voyage, leaves the train on the platform on a sunny Sunday morning.

Before Joe D'amato made 1979's Buio Omega he touched upon death several times in his earlier works. This one is the first example of the director's start working with George Eastman, who wrote the screenplay for this title. The story is about innocent boy, who is afraid of sex, so all his family starts to push on him and sent women to persuade him. The things come here to the idea of well-acted sudden death and mature perverse. Quite special film to show, but still it is a black grotesque comedy with classic Massachessi's eclectic sexual view on Italian humor. Rare to find obscure title, but we recommend it for those who like to solve the most crazy situations and fantasies in their mind.

The Protagonist

Giancarlo Mangiapane is thirty years old and has one single dream: to become a great actor. However, the important roles aren't coming, so Giancarlo ends up acting in his everyday life. One day, his agent tells him he's about to get the opportunity of a lifetime: the lead audition for Clochard, a biopic about the life of Gustavo Noradin, a 1950s tap dance champion who fell from grace due to his addictions. When he discovers that his roommate is also preparing for the same role, a rivalry is born that begins to obsess him. Between exhausting rehearsals, a mother who keeps trying to reach him, and a fearsome casting director, Giancarlo's identification with the character becomes total, to the point of jeopardizing his true identity.

Had come of age and unemployed, Peter decides to go back to school to take the elementary school. However, his academic performance continues to be poor so much so that his grandmother to play for the votes of a report card to the football pools coupon. The grandmother with the votes of Peter will win, using the amount paid to renew their tavern, without giving any money to his nephew, who will retaliate by closing all his family in the bathrooms of the new restaurant. A businessman is nicknamed "L'avvocato" and his driver, Oscar, is a yes-man. When L'avvocato has a crash while driving his car, Oscar is put in jail in his place. When Oscar gets out, he finds himself married to the beautiful Maria, but he can't even touch her: she is l'avvocato's lover. Afterwards Oscar is appointed manager, but he can't manage a dime. At the end he shall find himself again in jail, hoping that his "sissignore" (yessir) will let him have, sometime, a driver to send to prison in his place. —

Amnèsia

On the Spanish island of Ibiza, porn filmmaker Sandro and Angelino, the manager of a beachside watering hole, find their very different lives overlapping. Meanwhile, the island police chief, who is currently at odds with his rebellious son Jorge, is investigating the death of a drug dealer (which was accidentally brought on by Angelino). Jorge's plans to move to America have so far been thwarted by his father, but when he finds out about the affair his dad had been having with a male nightclub dancer, he uses it as blackmail fodder.

The film follows Nello, the recently hired director of a newly developed work cooperative of former mental patients. After the closure of state psychiatric hospitals and asylums in Italy under the Basaglia Law many former patients were left with few resources and little hope of reintegrating into society. With the intention of actually improving the lives of his pupils, rather than just sedating them, Nello encourages them to expand their individual abilities and explore the wider world around them although, regardless of intention, there is sometimes a price to pushing boundaries too quickly.
