Laura Lexx: Mother(figure)

It’s 5 years since Laura’s critically acclaimed show 'Trying', her searingly honest, achingly funny experience of depression and trying for a baby. Since then she’s written another hit show, published two books, conquered TV comedy, created two hit podcasts, oh, and gained zero babies (unless you count the dog, which no one does). In this brand new show Laura explores life in the continuation of being childless; trying to be body positive about a body you loathe and trying not to get too attached to pigeons.

Jen Ives: Peak Trans

Understandably, many trans people just want to live their lives in peace - not rocking the boat too much, and living a normal, happy life among their peers. Jen Ives is not one of them. In this stand-up show filmed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Jen takes on hot button issues, such as biology, gender critical “feminism”, the LGB Alliance, pornography & of course - JK Rowling. The conversation is as vital as ever, as everyone and their nan seems to be discussing trans women’s validity these days. The only people who don’t seem to get a say, are the trans women themselves.

The Elvis Dead

Elvis Presley is the quintessential rock star icon. Bruce Campbell is the quintessential B-movie horror icon (and once appeared as Elvis in the soul-stealing mummy movie Bubba Ho-Tep). Rob Kemp is not an icon as far as he knows, but he does love Elvis and horror, and has been told that he bears a passing resemblance to Bruce Campbell. The Elvis Dead started as a throwaway comment in a comedy green room, and is the very definition of taking a joke too far. So don your sequinned jumpsuit, strap a camera to a greased-up two-by-four and sing your way through as much of the plot of Evil Dead 2 as you can in an hour. The cult hit of Edinburgh Fringe 2017, this multi-award-winning (and even multier-award-nominated) one-man-horror-comedy-mash-up was recorded for posterity as part of the fourth GoFasterStripe Festival and frankly, Rob couldn’t be happier about it.
