The second part of the film “About Love”. Moscow, summer 2016. A new lecture, a new lecturer with a new theme: “How to preserve love in the modern world” – and five new stories about love. The heroes still suffer, struggle for love, even more often get into absurd and ridiculous situations, and yet they trust in love even more.

“Great Poetry” is about two guys who live on the outskirts of Moscow and work as cash collectors. They’re young, lonely, and all they have in the world is each other. They spend their lives moving money for other people. They attend a poetry class at the local cultural center and watch cockfights at a dorm for migrant workers. Their attempts at finding poetry in the prosaic world around lead them to the conclusion that the only poetic move they can make is to rob a bank. The film isn’t about words or rhymes. It’s about friendship and betrayal, and about our vicious and alien world in which anyone who tries to be honest and consistent ends up looking naïve and cruel. It’s about the everpresent and incomprehensible force that — in spite of everything — makes our life so frantic, strange, and lonely

Eleven comedic vignettes featuring conversations – some important, some less so – held in restaurants over coffee and cigarettes (how quickly time flies – cigarettes are banned in Russia’s restaurants now). The conversations are candid, and even veer into the territory of murder. In the final credits, the director apologizes to Jim Jarmusch, whose work (in the anthology Coffee and Cigarettes, which Jarmusch shot in pieces over many years) Oldenburg-Svintsov is clearly indebted to. Sex, Coffee, Cigarettes’s kinship with Jarmusch’s film extends to the fact that superstars play tiny roles in almost all of the vignettes.

Zhenya and Boris are going through a vicious divorce marked by resentment, frustration and recriminations. Already embarking on new lives, each with a new partner, they are impatient to start again, to turn the page – even if it means threatening to abandon their 12-year-old son Alyosha. Until, after witnessing one of their fights, Alyosha disappears.

Once Katya left Pushchino near Moscow to become a pop star, leaving her lover Kolya behind. Now she is a famous singer, leading a bright, bohemian, but empty life, together with her unloved and unloving producer Sasha. Due to an unusual set of circumstances, Katya finds herself in another reality, in which she has a husband, a doctor at a district clinic, two small children and a choice: to find the humanity she once lost in the simplicity of family relationships or to remain a lonely empty shell, in a world where no one will give her sincere warmth and love.

The little boy receives the last instruction from his mother: now he will have to take care of a deaf father who has problems with alcohol, because in fact, dad is a samurai who has made a vow of silence and needs a mentor ... When a representative of guardianship authorities comes to them, little a family of two is on the verge of separation.

During the day, Lera studies humankind and its needs through opinion polls, which are an educational practice at the institute; at night, she dances under the pseudonym Gerda in a club to support herself and her mother. The people she meets are as unfortunate as her family. Her father has recently left for another woman, but he constantly returns home, unable to make his choice and thereby making the life of close people intolerable. The mother painfully endures the breakup and constantly sleeps, ignoring reality. Lera doesn’t know how to carry on, where to go and what to live for, and — most importantly — how to improve life. The adult world, invariable unfortunate, which Lera observes day and night, seems hopeless.

Garpastum is a Latin word meaning ball game. Set in 1914 in St. Petersburg, the brothers Andrey and Nikolai are passionate about the matches they play on the streets. They hatch a scheme to buy a playing field. But World War I has already begun and soon their lives and dreams will be shattered.

An orphanage resident, Nikita, flees justice to Moscow, where he meets Den, a rich orphan who offers Nikita a ticket to a better life in exchange for his friendship. Nikita agrees, not knowing what price he will have to pay for it.

In the near future, writer Victor Banev gets himself on a UN commission to investigate what's going on in the remote town of Tashlinsk, where reports tell of a virus-created race of brainiac mutants. Banev's tween daughter Ira is enrolled at a school for gifted children which has been taken over by the mutants, who have grown to despise ordinary humanity.

He breaks off their engagement and on that same day meets Lena, a trainee teacher. Cut to ten years later, and Kirill is married to Lena with two children.

But they have three problems at once — one does not remember the lock code, the other lost the key to the padlock, and the third managed to lose the suitcase itself. A strange Porter and Bellboy are trying to return the suitcase to the heroines, overcoming a series of accidents and troubles. Inside the found suitcase are artifacts from the heroines' past lives, in which they were men, real boys and valiant warriors. Is it enough to burn your memories to close the door to the past? Can a woman nowadays do without a steely character? The past catches up with our heroines, crashing a burning suitcase onto the hood of their car.

Twelve-year-old Ada lives with her mother in a tiny town on the picturesque banks of the Oka. Life unobtrusively but clearly teaches her its lessons, and the girl learns to understand and forgive.

The Fool is a movie about a simple plumber. An honest man, he is up against an entire system of corrupted bureaucrats. At stake are the lives of 800 inhabitants of an old dorm that is at risk of collapsing within the span of the night.

The basis of the picture is not only the storylines of the heroes, but also the principle of continuous action of actors with the audience. Each of the five different short stories leads to the fact that for the decision: to maintain relationships or destroy them? This choice has to be made by the viewer himself.

The year is 2022. Russian ferryman Konstantinich lives in a village in Zaporizhzhia. After the collapse of the USSR, the old bridge across the Azov estuary was destroyed and dismantled for scrap metal, and Konstantinich began ferrying people. He connects the two banks and takes responsibility for everything that happens in his native land.
