Murder by Sequence

Laila is a smart woman who managed to make her way among businessmen outside her country. In WWII, Czechoslovakia split into the Slovak State and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Former pilot Viktor Lesa works for the Slovak Railway Mail and often comes to the border town of Ludendorf, the former Czech town of Bfeclav. In order to impress a young female colleague, he redirects an important package. The Gestapo shows up in the town and Lesa together with a Jewish clerk, Tichacek, have to run for their lives . They ride a cargo train to Slovakia and they decide to escape to Hungary by crossing the Danube.

Countryside Accountant's Government Reform

Genichiro Okugawa is appointed as the head of accounting in a feudal domain and travels with his servant Gonsuke to the country from Edo. Along the way, they are attacked by masked samurai on a mountain road. Genichiro is saved by Sukezaemon Tsuda, the supervisor of public works who was out hunting. Upon arriving in the domain, Genichiro is given a warm welcome by the vassals, who force him to drink heavily and find his subordinates to be rebellious. His proposed fiscal reforms are met with resistance, except by Tsuda who understands Genichiro's intentions. Genichiro marries Matsuo, the daughter of a senior councilor, but soon faces accusations of corruption.

Runaway teens, hustlers and drug addicts on the streets of Canada in the mid-80's. A young teen boy new to the streets, a seasoned gay hustler and a girl who escapes sexual abuse from home. A local newswoman interviews the kids for a documentary. We see some real street footage as she pieces together her story. Adding to this mix of fiction and non-fiction is the casting of some real social workers trying to help out these lost souls. We see them interact with the actors as well as being interviewed by the newswoman.
