An African-American GI retires from the US Army in West Berlin to live with his white girlfriend, who already has a baby with another black man. After an argument with her family, she deserts him as well. Despite finding a job and a new place to live, he keeps running into racism, which also manifests itself in sexual intimidation.

36-year-old Birgit desires nothing more than an intact family. Since she lives with her husband Andreas, the common child Philip and Sarah, her daughter from a previous, failed relationship in solid economic conditions in a terraced house, she feels very close to her ideal. Through Sarah's puberty, the family is put to the test. But Birgit believes that luckily only the formal confirmation of the adoption of Sarah by Andreas is missing.

The wealthy plantation owner Pinaud is brutally murdered in Ceylon. His attractive German wife Anne is suspected of the crime and arrested by Inspector Cerdan. He is ordered to take her to Colombo. But the plane on the way there gets caught in a heavy storm and crashes shortly afterwards. Anne Pinaud and Cerdan are the only survivors of the crew and save themselves on a desert island. There they come across Werner Becker, who has been shipwrecked with his yacht and is also stranded here. While Cerdan continues to believe Anne is guilty of the crime, Werner believes she is innocent. Soon the tension between the two men builds up and they become rivals for Anne's favor.

They are supposed to work here as extras. A culture clash begins and becomes a crossover story between escape 79 years ago and today.

The focus of this wartime propaganda film from 1940 is the foreman Keith, who works at a Polish sawmill, not far from the German border. It is 1939 and the War is fast approaching. The Polish workers at the sawmill revolt and kill the mill's German owner, as well as threaten their German colleagues. Keith flees with the children of his dead boss and joins other German refugees on their way to safety across the borders of the Reich.

Jan Hinrichs is an experienced ship and salvage inspector. After the bankruptcy of his last employer, however, he is not above working as a simple diver. The only problem is that Hinrichs is 55 and, in the eyes of the shipowners, too old for this job that requires bones and fitness. And so he pretends to be 10 years younger at a job interview. He falsifies his diving book and gets himself a fake passport. The world wants to be deceived. Now things are suddenly working out: Hinrichs does his job, he does it well and his boss is happy with him - for the time being.

The shy Michael Seebisch wants to work even more in the new year. His great love is for computers. Only the enamel of great opera voices can transport him from everyday life to another, imaginative world.

Kren’s 10/65 Selfmutilation is developed from a Gunter Brus “action”. What the film emphasizes is the surrealistic drama of symbolic self-destruction that Kren drew out of Brus’ action, pacing out each gesture so that one gets a tense, iconoclastic revelation of a man covered in white plaster lying surrounded by razor blades and a range of instruments looking as if they have been taken from an operating theatre. The blades, scissors and scalpels are gradually inserted into him in a ritualistic self-operation. (Stephen Dwoskin)

In this mockumentary a first-time documantary filmmaker meets the artist of all classes Ischariot Wiesengrund. Despite their obvious differences the two men develop a strange familiarity.

In the 1980s, the Italian Salvatore ends up in a small village in the Alps. Salvatore tells the villagers that he is going on vacation for two weeks. During this time, he befriends the widow Frieda, who is still mourning her husband, who never returned from the war. Salvatore also comforts 40-year-old Romy, as her husband is addicted to alcohol and is in a wheelchair. He even enters into a relationship with Erna. The nurse is forced to live with her father Stockinger, who takes good care of her son but has become embittered himself. What Erna doesn't realize is that Salvatore has a dark secret: he knows that the murderer of his entire family has settled in the small village and is seeking revenge...

Competition rider Nina Becker and movie star Niklas Tremsaal are a happy couple without a marriage certificate. Marrying is not an issue for the two - until the little niece India holds cheap plastic jewelry on Nina's finger for an engagement ring and so gets an avalanche rolling, which can not be stopped. - "Marry makes me nervous" is a joke-staged romantic comedy. Suzan Anbeh plays marrying Nina, who has to choose between her fiancé and her childhood sweetheart.

Policeman Haller becomes a fire policeman in Munich, in order to find back his fiancée Hilde. After a while, he really finds her, but she is still jealous because of a dancer Haller flirted with. Also, Haller suspects Wiedemann to be a competitor in his fight for Hilde's heart. Suddenly, Haller finds out that Wiedemann is a criminal and plans to rob the safe of the chemistry lab Hilde is working in. Haller wants to bust Wiedemann alone, but some things happen that make it all much more complicated.

A short vacation should let the 17-year-old, deaf-mute Veronika forget the death of her beloved father, so the plan of her mother Christina. The place of recreation, however, is not chosen happily, due to lack of money: Gut Vorwald in the Sauerland region belongs to the mature nobleman Benno von Caldern, to whom Christina once pledged herself in her youth before meeting her future husband and renouncing Benno. Under the golden roof of autumnal oak crowns, the feelings of the past return, not without dramatic consequences.

Director Brakke has good reason to be happy: he has just received the news that his son, Theo, won first place in the local boat race. To be sure, he had forbidden his son to take part in the competition, because the son's grades in school are substandard. In the end, Brakke sees no other way than to pull Theo from school and install him as an apprentice in his airplane manufacturing plant. Although Theo is received by the other 150 apprentices in a friendly fashion, he behaves in an arrogant and disrespectful tone towards them. He feels himself to be better than them, because his father is the director of the factory.

This film, based on a story by Theodor Storm, revolves around the young Hauke Haien, who lives near the sea and improves the safety of the inhabitants with his new ideas for building dykes. However, his new methods and his rejection of conservative traditions, such as the "sacrifice" of a living creature when building a dyke, are not welcomed by the local population, which leads to him meeting with great rejection and ultimately even becoming his undoing.
