Manfred and Hilke live a live perfectly complied with each other in West Berlin. They managed to elude from the bourgeois conformity, which they loath. But when Hilke finds out about her pregnancy she estranges from her partner. Trying to keep her former life as it was, she desperately looks all over the city to get an abortion.

Teenagers Max and Uli are old friends and hang out together. When they discover a lonely phone booth, the crowning glory of the evening is clear: hotboxing! But the joint is hardly lit, when a police patrol turns up. Panicked, the boys barricade themselves in the phone booth. But the officers don’t even think about leaving. They lie in wait, they have time, they call for reinforcements. The escalation of the police quickly becomes a test of endurance for the trapped youths. 1986 - The protest movement against the construction of the nuclear power plant in Brokdorf is on its last legs. Only one rural commune remains: the "Alternative Wohnkollektiv Regenbogen". The three of them know that this might very well be the last trip they will ever make. Regardless, Mia and Lukas try their best for Jonas not to think of the inevitable. Sadly the vow to spend the last trip only in joy, fails.
