Moscow

Three years ago, Mu-young travels to Moscow in search of inspiration for his next novel. At Red Square, he encounters a woman in a white dress, wearing a wreath and crying alone. By chance, they meet again and begin a love that feels destined. For three months, they share an intense relationship in Room 318 of a hotel on Arbat Street. Then one day, she disappears, leaving behind only a single note. After her disappearance, Mu-young finds himself unable to write. A story of creative suffering and human longing for art, of a fated love that spirals toward ruin and loss—Moscow.

Halima

Halima lives on Morocco’s coast and makes a living by gathering and selling mussels. An unknown phone call brings her long-buried past back to light. After her husband passed away, Halima stayed alone in their old house in the mountains. The land is undergoing drastic changes, leaving her home, livelihood and sense of belonging all precarious. Grief, hardship and displacement follow one after another. Though fate knocks her down time and again, she never surrenders.A former photojournalist, the director captures this one-woman battle with stark cinematography. Free from grand outcries, the film lays bare her everyday resilience. Amid constant flux and loss, this woman stands firm, striving to carve out her own place in the world.

The poem: Masochist

I think I'm a masochist I crave intimacy more than any other feeling To have someone look at me and put all their emotions onto my body and mind The idea of being hit excites my mind more than any feeling of bodily pleasure The outburst of another inflicted on my skin, as their fist connect with my flesh and the blood vessels explode within like tiny orgasms To feel the ache graze over my skin and soothe into a warm and tingling sensation The idea of purple and red flowers blooming on my body in an act of true emotions I never got bruises from the hits They were never sexual or romantic I don't like to be hit in my face.
