A silent film retelling of Bram Stoker's Dracula starring and soundtracked by Malice Mizer. Jonathan (Klaha), engaged to Cecil (Terumi Nagayoshi) has received a letter from the Earl of Dracula (Yu~ki) who asks him to travel to Transylvania to finalize the purchase of a manor which causes him to push back his wedding, soon after he arrives Dracula imprisons Jonathan and travels to London to meet Cecil. Meanwhile, the resident Vampire in London (Közi) is not happy that Dracula has gone there to hunt and attempts to thwart Dracula's wishes but is prevented by his sister the Nun (Mana) who is a minion of Dracula.

Directorial debut by Kiridoshi Risaku, an accomplished film and cultural critic and author of "Miyazaki Hayao no ‘sekai'" and "Kaiju tsukai to shonen: Ultraman no sakka tachi". Mikoto (Mikoto) and Takashi (Sumori Ryubun) graduated from the same high school. Now in their twenties, they meet by coincidence and hit it off, and they decide to spend the night together. But Takashi invites her not to a love hotel, but to their former high school. Mikoto has only bad memories from high school, and she realizes that Takashi also is looking for a chance to redo his teenage years.

The film consists of three short stories. Tomiko, the heroine of the first story, "The Flower Girl" (dir. Tomiko's father has been unable to find work for a long time, and her older sister is terminally ill—it is unlikely that she will ever recover. To feed her family, Tomiko runs around the city from morning until late at night selling flowers... The second novella (dir. Tadashi Imai) also depicts the lives of the poor. An unfamiliar girl brings young Kavano a letter from his mother. It turns out that the girl's name is Kuniko, she is very hardworking, but her family is dying of hunger. Therefore, her mother decided to send Kuniko to her son so that he would marry her. The short story is called "The Unexpected Bride." The third short story, which gave the film its title, is particularly interesting: "When You Love" (dir. Satsuo Yamamoto). It shows the family of a young peace activist.

The edited version also replaced the original musical score with a more orchestral soundtrack. First shown in 1999 via festivals (some with an English dub), then released on DVD in 2000 with French audio & English subtitles, it took a while for an official English dub to be released next, but a trailer was posted on YouTube in April of 2015. The edited film with an English-audio dub was finally made available for free on YouTube as of May 2020. The "original" title in the info on TMDB is incorrectly in English but locked; the English should be in the "translated title" spot. It's in French on a poster though: Le Journal d'Anne Frank.

Kazuya Takajo was a promising soccer player. At the age of 23, he was selected for the national A football team and he bought a house to live with his fiancé Miki Nakagawa.
