Emma Mayer works as a presenter for a radio station. In her show 'Emma after midnight', she listens to the concerns of callers. She discovers that Katharina Holl, who is about to go on trial for involuntary manslaughter during the construction of an indoor swimming pool, is suicidal. Since the accident, she has been called Mrs. Hell by the press and while she, as the main defendant, has to shoulder all the blame, accomplices such as Lord Mayor Klaus Quade and the owner of the construction company, Mark Wahrendorf, remain on the outside. Emma has little time to deal with Katharina's problem and convince her that there is a point in continuing to live.

The film, also known as Das Gespenst im Opernhaus, is notable for being the first film adaptation of the 1910 novel The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. The film is now believed to be a lost film. No copies, photographs or even a poster of the film remain. All that is known is that it was made in Germany in autumn 1915, directed by Ernst Matray, starring Nils Chrisander as the Phantom and Aud Egede-Nissen as Christine, and Raul played by director Ernst Matray.[1]

It is 1944 and Reich Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels narrowly escapes an assassination attempt on the way to Obersalzberg. It is whispered to him that his rival Heinrich Himmler is the mastermind and that he has also hidden a double of the propaganda minister. Goebbels sets off immediately. He meets his double, Harry Geduldig, in a mysterious fortress. There is a mix-up. The real Goebbels remains a prisoner in the fortress, while the fake one deceives the guards and escorts and frees his great love Grete Zipfel. At a party meeting in Nuremberg, the people cheer him on. But then the journey takes him into the lion's den: on the Obersalzberg he meets Hitler and finally "his" wife Magda. Harry risks everything to save Grete.

But cancer turns her life upside-down and suddenly nothing seems the same as it was before. Actually, there is only one thing that Ina already drives their lives and for which she would do anything: to stand on stage. But a not insignificant fact is Ina way. Her breast cancer has thrown her whole life upside down and now nothing seems to be as it once was. Now that Ina has survived all therapies she puts everything to fulfill her dream of acting. In a rush she runs through her "new-found" life, forgetting her own past. She must learn to accept the course of life and thereby, not to displace the disease, which is a part of it.

A journalist is assigned to interview an eccentric anthropologist who has exhumed the skeleton of Jörg Jenatsch, a revered freedom fighter who was mysteriously murdered in 1639. Initially disinterested, the journalist begins to uncover unflattering truths about the national hero and experiences visions in which he seems to be witnessing events that transpired over 300 years ago. As he obsessively pursues the investigation, his personal life and his grip on reality disintegrate, drawing him relentlessly toward the fatal carnival at which Jenatsch was killed.

The play tells the story of the chronic drunkard and landowner Puntila. When he is drunk, he is virtually free of himself; he develops immense strength in these phases and can really be a human being. Then he wants to fraternize with his chauffeur Matti, wants to give him a forest and a sawmill, and even wants to give him his daughter as his wife. Puntila could accomplish many, many more good deeds in his frenzy, but when he returns to a sober state, Puntila reveals himself to be the "black sheep" of his capitalist class and an insignificant person. His classmate reads him the riot act and shows him the limits of this species, which Puntila can never break. GDR television showed the play in a production by the Berliner Ensemble.

A Good Boy

After his mother's death, 17-year-old Sven moves in with his dad Achim, a taxi driver, who had divorced his mother several years earlier. It is not easy for Achim to get used to an adolescent around the house, especially since Sven hardly speaks to him. But Sven does well in school, and Achim hopes that time will bring them closer together. It is Achim's girlfriend Julia who first senses that something is wrong with Sven. Why, she wonders, does he always hang around with young boys? Why does not he have any friends his own age? She suspects that he is gay. The truth, however, is somewhat more nuanced - and chilling: Sven has pedophile tendencies. Proof is soon found on videos that shock and sicken Achim. Sven himself is shattered and regrets his actions. Julia suggests therapy, but Achim is convinced that he and Sven can handle this together. But he is wrong. Though Sven practically begs his father to lock him up in his room, Achim has confidence in his son.
