Testimony

Hyein, who has been working as a secretary at 'Yoo Seung Precision', a small business, and was fired due to contract expiration, visits 'Yoo Seung Precision', her former workplace, to get a career certificate ahead of an upcoming interview at a large company. However, the real purpose of her visit is to get back the 67,600 won, which the manager Jin Sang-i of the same team has not paid back for running errands for coffee and sandwiches. When she finally arrives at her office, she asks Hye-in Lee to return her money, but she only gets 50,000 won. The only thing she approached the frustrated Hye-in was the (but awkward) Deputy Oh, who was the only female employee on the same team.

During a Chinese wedding hosted by a powerful business man, unsettling incidents occur which disrupt the celebration. Lucy will soon marry Edy, and prepare for her dream wedding. Just before the wedding party, an uninvited Siska appeared. Edy introduces Siska as a cousin from out of town. Nobody knows that she is Edy's ex-lover and Edy is beware of Siska so as not to spoil her marriage, even more so realizing that she is the daughter of a powerful businessman. Their wedding day which Lucy had beautifully prepared had to end tragically.

This is Hamlets dilemma, and the essence of Shakespeares most famous and arguably greatest work, given new life in operatic form in this original Glyndebourne commission. Thoughts of murder and revenge drive Hamlet when he learns that it was his uncle Claudius who killed his father, the King of Denmark, then seized his fathers crown and wife. But Hamlets vengeance vies with the question: is suicide a morally valid deed in an unbearably painful world?

Eleven years old Jacob does not know his Father. His picture is portrayed and idealized by his Mother and his own phantasy. Grandmother arrives to their small panel block building apartment at beginning of the Story. Jacob's resentment (a runaway escape through foggy neighborhood of concrete block buildings) is his way to finding out what' going on.
