Tied Up

In a cruel turn of fate, Mac, a high-end necktie, is thrown in the trash. There he meets others in a similar predicament: a broken vase, an air freshener bottle, a boot with gum stuck on its sole, and a spool of thread down to her last bit of thread. Mac believes that he is better than this riff-raff and dreams of regaining his former life. The others want to reach a place called Paradise, thinking that's where they can make their wishes come true-and if you're stuck in a dumpster, you probably have something to wish for.

ESCAPISM

A beautiful place, the same old place. Shapes of blues and greens flow with grace, a feast of rêverie for the eye. Wind, water, sun, light, the world dances with the mind. Peace and melancholy sing as everything flows and goes. Choking on comfort, locked in this world, one can simply waltz with their thoughts. In this ballad of wonders, there's only one way in and no way out. Fragmenting reality, the hues twirl along with the music. This could go on forever. This is the mind's favorite game. No resisting. Now diving into escapism.

Hypersensitive

Hypersensitive recounts the turbulent, surrealistic journey of a young woman struggling to understand her unique take on the world. Drawing on her own childhood memories as well as her fertile imagination, filmmaker Martine Frossard paints a compassionate portrait of a woman on a quest for healing in a society with little tolerance for difference. Rich in symbolism inspired by plant life, her film is a heartfelt plea for us all to take greater heed of our emotions, even the most painful ones—reminding us that to be sensitive is to be alive.

For Every Apricot

For Every Apricot drifts through the shifting terrain of memory, illustrating a grandmother’s journey in search of a “miracle drug” to cure her father’s illness. What begins as a simple family story, unfurls into a meditation on aging, fragility, and the circinate patterns that shape life. Through live-action interview, 16mm and 8mm archival footage, and a tapestry of handcrafted animation, the film moves between what is remembered, what is imagined, and what time has eroded. As she reflects on her father’s illness alongside her own, For Every Apricot becomes a deeply personal family portrait.
