A Goat-Musician

The film makes fun of incompetent hack composers who replace real creativity with an unabashed compilation. The goat-composer completes work on a new work, the theme of which is suggested by the Donkey and the Ram. The author's concert of the composer is preceded by the performance of the Gray Wolf-musicologist. He admires the creation of the venerable Goat-fool. Family Tree

The story of the settlement of Canada, illustrated with cheerful animated cartoons. The arrival of Jacques Cartier, the fishing and fur trades which followed, and the rival colonization by the French and British, climaxed by the battle of the Plains of Abraham, are depicted. The coming of the United Empire Loyalists is seen; then the west-coast gold rush and the completion of the transcontinental railway. New branches were added to the family tree when many European settlers came to fill the great spaces of the Prairies. Finally, we see the whole country matured into a nation, its traditions enriched by those of many peoples.

What Kind of Bird Is This?

The envious Goose traded from other birds what he liked: the neck of the Swan, the nose of the Pelican, the wings of the Raven, the legs of the Crane, the tail of the Peacock; the Rooster's scallop and a "crow" in addition. The Goose began to look like no one, just for some reason everyone laughed at him. The Sparrow helped him with advice, suggesting that the Goose's stupidity be replaced with the wisdom of the Owl. At the Owl, the Goose also learned that "A smart bird can not be proud of other birds feathers." Recognizing his mistake, the Goose changes everything back.
