Styopochkin escapes from the university and by all rights and wrongs gets into the paratroopers to realize his dream... However, Styopochkin's army entourage - San Sanych and Kuzya - are old brats who are just a little bit away from demobilization. Very quickly they realize that Styopochkin can‘t do anythinf himself himself can, but tries hard. Therefore, his coworkers even undertake to help him, including for reasons of their own safety. After all, as San Sanych says: "either he kills us, or we will make him a real paratrooper"....
