Donald's Diary

Donald is writing in his diary and narrating (in a rather sophisticated voice) about his romance with Daisy. She was able to snare him into a relationship in which they got to know each other better and Donald got to meet Daisy's family. Finally, Donald decides to marry Daisy but when waiting for her to arrive so he can pop the question, he falls asleep and has a nightmarish vision of what married life would be like (among other things that he'll be forced to do all the housework and be served a burnt T bone for dinner). Needless to say, the marriage is called off when he awakens.

The Old Silo Farm

When siblings Mae and Patrick Alridge return to their late grandfather’s farm to settle his estate, they stumble upon an old, rusted silo — sealed shut and whispered about in family lore. Despite warnings in their grandfather’s journal and strange symbols carved into the barn walls, Patrick insists on opening the silo. What they find inside changes everything. Inside is not just rot and rust, but something alive — or something pretending to be. A third presence makes itself known: The Watcher, a voice that speaks only in whispers and seems tied to the land itself. As night falls and strange phenomena begin, the siblings realize the farm wasn’t abandoned — it was quarantined.

Labzik: Tales of a Clever Pup

Adapted from a book of children’s stories by Yiddish author Chaver Paver, "Labzik: Tales of a Clever Pup" follows the (mis)adventures of a clever mutt named Labzik and the working-class Jewish family that adopts him. Balancing playful humor with gritty realism, the stories find Labzik and the other residents of the Bronx up against social and political forces that are no less relevant today: unemployment, political protest, racism, police brutality, even an airborne disease. This trilingual Yiddish-English-Yinglish short film is produced in cinematic “miniature theater” style, employing lavishly illustrated paper puppets to evoke the ink illustrations of the 1935 original.
