However, she learns to embrace her unconventional companion, who teaches her about loyalty, self-confidence, and true friendship. But Unipig wants to be a Unipig – and not a unicorn. So, Emmi has to make a decision…

The plot concerns a yeti who makes a pact with the devil to kidnap the most beautiful girl in the world. This turns out to be the Princess Lissi, who is clearly the Austrian Princess and later Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria, and much of the film is taken up with subplots related to the court and to the romantic relationship between Elisabeth and her husband. The film is thus a comic parody of the Sissi films.

The order comes in the summer of 1941 from propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels himself: The best animators are summoned to Berlin. Their task: Producing feature-length cartoons in ‘Disney-Quality’ with the newly founded ‘Deutsche Zeichenfilm GmbH’. To get trained, the Disney movie “Snow White” is re-traced frame by frame. After the final victory, one new feature-length production of quality shall be released every year from 1947 onwards. – that is the plan. Only in 1943, the first production is completed: “Armer Hansi” a 17-minute-long colour movie, realized with the effortful Multiplane-technology. The second film by the ‘Deutsche Zeichenfilm’ is only completed in 1946 – by DEFA. In the territories occupied by Germany, cartoons are produced as well, sometimes harmless ones, sometimes propagandistic ones. With excerpts from animated movies, life-action film documents, and witness reports by contemporaries, this documentary draws a picture of the cartoon production in the third Reich.

Mom Doe gives birth to a fawn named Goldie and all the creatures of the forest want to visit him. Wuschel, the squirrel, soon became his best friend. Every animal and plant in the forest knows man is a great danger. So, when Wuschel and Goldie meet the creepy trees, they advise them to stay away from men and their technology. Curious and intrigued by technological advances, Fischinger here also experiments with "synthetic sound" (he would not be the only one: later Norman McLaren played a lot with it). Thus he contructed the optical sound track directly onto the film. But beyond identifying harmonics and noises, he sought to understand to what sound emissions corresponded the geometrical and regular designs which, visibly, appear in their turn synchronously on the screen as true and proper "ornaments" of the sound which is being produced.

Mr. Bulge did not water the orchid from Mr. Belly. In order to escape responsibility, he spins a confusing web of lies and conspiracy theories, in which he eventually gets caught.

The story of Aladin is one of the most beautiful and well known fairy tales from "the Arabian nights". Aladin is the son of a poor tailor. But with the help of Dschinni, a friendly ghost, he achieves luck and wealth. And since this is a fairy tale, he marries the sultan’s beautiful daughter in the end.

Raumlichtkunst (1926/2012) was the name of a series of live multiple projector concerts given by Oskar Fischinger in the 1920s in Germany. It was not performed after that time. In 2012 it was restored and reconstructed from original nitrate materials, by Center for Visual Music in Los Angeles. It now exists as an HD digital, three-projector, looped museum installation for black box galleries, having been on display at Tate Modern, Whitney Museum New York, ACMI Melbourne and other museums worldwide. The three non-synched loops create ever-evolving new combinations of abstract patterns. While the original was accompanied by live percussive music, the reconstruction is exhibited with three different compositions by John Cage and Lou Harrison, and Edgar Varese.

The documentary Hölderlin's Echo approaches the life and work of the well-known poet in an unusual way: In the real film parts, artists are observed and interviewed who interpret the numerous settings of Hölderlin's poems by well-known composers. Animated sequences interpret biographical sections of Hölderlin's moving life in poetic associative form. In the combination of both art forms, a complete work is created that consciously moves away from more conventional forms of geographical chronology and thus also tries to do justice to associative poetry.

When a young man sees a stag's antlers in a living room as he passes by, he mistakes himself for the stag and, in search of its origins, is led by the resident, a passionate hunter, into a rocky landscape at the back of her house, which turns out to be a ghost train where they all live.

An exhaustive examination of the protagonist’s skin begins during which every centimetre, the palm of her hand, the sole of her foot, the back and also the genital area are closely scrutinised. The doctor meticulously probes every nook and cranny of the young woman’s outer shell until she is able to identify a suspicious birthmark. A timely appointment to remove the mole is made.
