He must discipline his son when he starts fighting with neighboring kids, filling his pipe with bubble water, and pestering him while he tries to read the newspaper. But most difficult of all is getting him to pick up his toys which is no easy task. Finally, he gets ready to apply hair brush to child's behind but is talked out of it when he sees his son sleeping peacefully. "Kids, they're wonderful," he concludes.

The Story in the Murals

The film tells the story of a severe drought in a certain year. Farmers dug wells and repaired canals on the mountain to fight the drought, and left a doggerel on the mountainside: "We don't rely on the Jade Emperor, we don't rely on the Dragon King. We are the Jade Emperor, and we are the Dragon King." The sun read it and read it to Wu Yun, but Wu Yun didn't think so. It was at this time that people really dug water out of the mountains and began to fight the drought. Wu Yun was very unconvinced and decided to teach these ignorant farmers a lesson.

After the Whistle Blows

The work at the factory is over. The workers went home and the fairy tale began. Screws and nuts, hammer and plane, chisel and screwdriver came to life. "We've done a good job, and now we can have some fun!" said the hammer. The details made such a noise that Samodelkin, who was flying on his all-terrain vehicle, heard it. He offered to arrange a concert and make musical instruments. The work started and finally everything is ready. A fun concert took place and no machinations of defective parts could prevent success.
