In Takeshi Murata's video, in collaboration with Billy Grant, computer generated scans are utilized to recreate his every day environment in high tech 3D. The video starts in his studio, where his computer, desk and chair are “haunted” - dissolving and reforming in a myriad of mirrored shapes, going from recognizable to abstract to obliterated. The scans blend with Murata’s own computer rendered fragments, further emphasizing the high and low, real and unreal. The result can be seen as an homage to both Walt Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Bruce Nauman’s Mapping the Studio.

What happens when Humanity arrives at the technological singularity and achieves digital immortality? Where do we go from here?

A dragon queen and her chick are living peacefully on a mountaintop. While the queen is hunting, her chick is killed by a knight who takes the jewel from the chick's heart and makes it into a necklace which he gives to his princess. The princess is turned into a dragon and forced to flee from the knight, meeting a young wizard and his familiar on the way. The wizard decides that the dragon princess needs to go to the mountain at the heart of the dragon kingdom, and they begin a long journey across the continent. The knight, who has trailed the princess to the mountain, severely injures her. In the process, the dragon necklace is severed, and the princess turns human again. The knight, consumed by guilt, offers his life to the dragon queen, and is turned into a blue-eyed dragon chick to replace the one he had killed.

I was influenced by one of Zhuangzi’s thought, The butterfly dream, and visualized the contrast between dream and reality. When he gets to the nest, he grabs the Road Runner by the neck only to find out it was a decoy. The real Road Runner then arrives in a white ninja suit to fight the Coyote. Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner begin to fight with their new knowledge of martial arts, however, Wile E. Coyote isn't as good as he thought he was. After a sword/bladed weapon fight, Wile E. Coyote shatters into pieces from Road Runner's golden razor talons.
