"He She He" not only represents the three of them but also represents all of us who are being neglected and need to establish emotional connections around us. I tried to use the body as a common medium for establishing empathy to achieve the transformation from perceptual empathy to personal cognitive empathy.

Dr. Rao died on 29Th of September 2010.The funeral ceremony in Sichuan, Southwest China, lasted two days and two nights and was recorded in a rather unconventional way: 5.957 single photo shots, combined to a 7 minutes short film. It shows the funeral of an ordinary Chinese man, surrounded by his family. One witnesses the enshrined body, the cremation of the deceased and the immediate handing over afterwords of his remains to the family members. The film provides a very intimate perspective on contemporary Chinese culture, where Taoist burial rites are blended with modern secular customs. The process brings to mind a theater performance with stage, acting and scenery, embodying the transition from the living to the death.

The work Tears of Chiwen is a reflection on the modernity of East Asian Culture in the context of globalization.

The leader loses his life while he tries to save his son, and the villagers are swept away by furious flood.

This film is about the story of an old man who insistently took care of his wife, a paralytic old woman. As her illness increasingly aggravated, finally she couldn’t walk at all. One day, the old woman saw a butterfly flying over their yard. She yearned for freedom while she was helpless. The old man found that and in order to make his wife happy, he decided to make a butterfly shaped kite and fly the kite with her in a special way. This film is full of warmth and hope for all those who yearn for freedom.

A certain highland was covered with snow, and there were branches in the snow, which were Tibetan antelopes lying in flocks in the snow to avoid the wind and cold. After the heavy snowfall, the head sheep was the first to stick out its head, and it screamed into the air, announcing the arrival of the sunny moment to the companions.

CG Animation Short Film "The Legend of Shangri-la" is adapted from the poem of the same title by the famous poet Tao Yuan Ming of Dong Jin Dynasty over 1000 years ago. By applying Chinese traditional painting techniques and papercutting to CG, IDMT created this unique animation film with the style and movement of Shan-Xi shadow puppet show. The combination results in this original 3D CG short film with its unique visual style. It tranquilly depicts Peach Blossom Valley (known to the western culture as Shangri-La), the earthly paradise, in Dong Jin people's mind and their desire to return to happy and harmonic life.

My inspiration is from the novel Us, which was written by Yevgeny Zamyatin, a Russian writer. In this world, no one has his/her own name except a code. Human beings are divided into several levels. Different levels were assigned to different types of work. The “Fountain” is both the source of energy and the landmark landscape in this city. There are many tall towers like diving platforms near the fountain. People can get closed to the “fountain” here. This city is always crowded and dark. D-503 lives a regular life here every day…

There is no purpose in life, only a process. The so-called ultimate purpose is nothingness. Create a one-second animation every day and record some of life's current feelings.

Theater is a fictional world constructed for the viewers. To substitute our ideal selves through imitation, we seek inspirations in such performative acts to satisfy our subconscious and primitive needs for blood and thrill. In reality individual selves are always trapped in a state of isolation, constantly trying to communicate in some deep levels while always falling to do so. This need for intimacy is extended to the virtual world as we try establish the existence of the self. The four parallel stories are implicitly linked, and serve as each other’s metaphors.

A reclusive woman observes her neighbour Kankan’s daily routine through a hole in the wall. What begins as a reassuring ritual takes a turn when fragments of memories start seeping into her reality. As both characters mirror each other across incompatible worlds, the boundary between dreams, fears and reality blurs.

This film is intended to convey some of the manifestations that lead to spiritual internal depletion, such as chronic bottlenecks, patterned approach to things, daydreaming, procrastination, and easy self-satisfaction. Fear of tomorrow, as if tomorrow is the end, and as if there are so many tomorrows. In this endless fear of internal consumption, overwhelmed with the waste of today (yesterday's tomorrow).

An interstellar detective to defend the Earth's story.
