Kiri, an informant behind the scenes, and Hitoshi, a silent insect slayer, are on the move. Behind Yuko's back is a bewitching queen bee, and a beautiful butterfly, Ageha, is chasing after her... Money and power, love and hatred turn one midsummer night into a nightmare. The stag beetle, rhinoceros beetle, and wasp families, as well as a group of goldfish, are all caught in the middle of the bloodshed. What will Hitoshi and the others see? Hitoshi's blade shines and roars in the dark night where not even the moonlight can reach!

Looking for a challenge, Emi, an impetious gamer enlists her pal Hiroshi to illegally hack her VR game console together with her AI device so that she can play in a fully AI created VR game world. At first it appears to be a typical RPG (role playing game) set in medieval Japan with plenty of action, but bizarre events begin to take place, and she gets separated from Hiroshi. Will Emi prevail and escape with her life or does the AI have other plans...?

At the end of the day, Ji-young, a woman in her twenties, discovers a crumpled receipt in her pocket while smoking a cigarette. Looking at the record of her whereabouts, she reflects on the simple moments that made up her day.

It was getting dark, and the clouds were gathering. Suddenly, in the middle of the desert, a huge whale fell right in front of the lost boy. At night, when it was cold, the boy and the whale kept each other warm, and the little animals of the desert gathered around them. So completely different creatures were connected by internal heat.

This film is one form of the director's explorative expression, utilizing the imagery of locks and keys to symbolize a society turning awry.

On the Tibetan Plateau, the majestic Potala Palace rests on endless snow-capped mountains. Snow flies above the mountains, the cold wind is bitter, and the melodious singing echoes in every corner of the valley. A certain highland was covered with snow, and there were branches in the snow, which were Tibetan antelopes lying in flocks in the snow to avoid the wind and cold. After the heavy snowfall, the head sheep was the first to stick out its head, and it screamed into the air, announcing the arrival of the sunny moment to the companions.

The woodcutter's Treasure, an animated co-production between Japan's Toei Animation and Saudi Arabia's Manga Productions, is heading to TV Tokyo. It will broadcast as part of a special program entitled "Atsushi Itō's Saudia Arabia Anime Travel Journal", a TV special which will run at 4:00PM JST on May 20, 2018.

Butterfly, a faithful Japanese wife, waits patiently in Nagasaki for the return of her American husband, Pinkerton. She sees the Stars and Stripes fluttering atop an approaching ship and rightly surmises that Pinkerton is onboard. However, the feckless foreigner is arriving in the company of his "real" Caucasian wife, causing the heartbroken Butterfly to commit suicide. This masterpiece of Japanese silhouette animation makes the best of its source material.
