Ingenious Soubrette

The opening of this remarkable and mysterious film brings into view a scene in a parlor, with two servants discussing the easiest way to hang four pictures which are leaning against the wall on the floor. The artful butler suggests to the pretty parlor-maid that she should hang the pictures from the step-ladder which he hastens to secure from an adjoining room. In the meantime the maid mysteriously proceeds to hang the pictures herself by walking up the side of the wall, and after accomplishing this strange feat turns a somersault from the wall into a chair.

Amphitrite - Underwater Goddess

Director Damien Krisl had the creative vision to visualize a deity. Beauty, weightlessness, mystery and art were key aspects of the concept. The objective was to mix the elements of fire and water. It was intended to create strong contrasts. On one side the deity had to have the beauty, femininity and delicacy of a seahorse and on the other side the strength and evilness of a dragon. In ancient Greek mythology, Amphitrite was a sea-goddess and wife of Poseidon. Under the influence of the Olympian pantheon, she became merely the consort of Poseidon, and was further diminished by poets to a symbolic representation of the sea. The clip shows the invocation of the goddess.

The Daughter

A woman in her mid-forties goes on a journey to the country. She visits her mother, whom she hasn't seen for quite a while. Of course, her father, who has been missing for many years, dominates the women's topic of conversation at first. What is said about the father raises questions as the pictures become more and more divergent. The following day she goes to see the manager of the train station café, the place from which her father departed on his forays. The manager is unable to say anything of importance. The woman strolls past the places she knew as a child and arrives at the meadow she was allowed to accompany her father to before he infiltrated the forbidden zone. Under a New Light

Blue Fox is a modern hero capable of engaging with a large audience. But above all he is the hero of the little ones who see in this extraordinary figure the solution to the small problems of life. On the occasion of the release of the new chapter of his saga, three children learn, each in their own way, to rediscover the wonder of things under a new light. It doesn't matter if this will happen thanks to a special meeting, thanks to listening to an engaging soundtrack or indirectly. This short film is evocative. It tells the emotion that only cinema can give us and that makes us feel a little less small every day.

The Fall

Jake, a professional athlete (at county level) runs in a school race with some “awesome running”. In a scene deemed too emotional for the wider public, Jake falls over dramatically and breaks his ank. It is unclear what happened when filming this scene, just that something strange and paranormal occurred, thus the film was cut. In another mysterious scene, in the medical room, Jake tells his PE teacher that he's really upset because he lost the race to be told in a sadistic manner that he can't run for another 6 months and he'll just have to suck it up. Some claim that the shot of Jake’s feet are to pay homage to Quentin Tarantino and others claim something more serious happened, either way early viewers claimed to feel nauseous. Then, 6 months later Jake runs again and in a Christopher Nolan-Inception way, it ends with us never knowing if he won the race, however this is unconfirmed and rumors suggests the results of the race are so shocking, it was cut to protect audiences.
