The Princess and the Nightingale

Cherry is 6-year-old girl. She lives with her parents on their large property. Her mother schools her and teaches her music and painting. Cherry is fascinated by the birds she sees from her large terrace but doesn’t realise that her father overprotecting her prevents her from spreading her wings. But on the day she turns seven, she receives a pair of binoculars that allow her to… See further. That is how she discovers Flower, the gardener’s daughter, who walks about freely, yet who is the same age as her. Flower talks about a bird that Cherry had never seen before, the nightingale. À l’Ombre du Chamlang

The north face of Chamlang, nearly 2,000 meters high and culminating at 7,200 meters, is one of the last great unclimbed faces in the Himalayas. Benjamin Védrines, who had scouted the face during a previous ascent of Chamlang in 2019 with Nicolas Jean via the northeast couloir, decided to tackle it with Charles Dubouloz, a very strong mountaineer but a novice at high altitude. Snow slides, suspended bivouacs, pitches of mixed climbing and vertical ice… The gamble paid off for the Frenchmen, who opened a new route, "À l'ombre du mensonge" (1,600m, 5+, m5+, 90°), after four intense days on the north face—a magnificent first ascent of a coveted summit, as a duo, in alpine style.

Sauvage

This is the story of the relationship between a rebellious young city girl, Adriana, and an old misanthrope, Bernard, in a remote valley in the Mercantour, a place of powerful natural beauty. Initially filmed according to the principles of a thriller, the film gradually transforms into a motionless journey evoking an initiatory tale: from renouncing petty hatreds, we move on to total immersion in an emblematic snowy landscape ruled by a white wolf. The encounter between these two lonely souls will lead each of them to a form of redemption: for Adriana, it will be through artistic creation.

Oversand

Oversand is one of the first films about free climbing, the third film in a series of three with "Overdon" and "Over-Ice". Directed by Jean-Paul Janssen, the film was shot in 35mm in Algeria, in the Sahara Desert, in the Tamanrasset region, on the walls of the majestic peaks of the Atakor massif, central sub-region of Hoggar, mountainous heart of Hoggar, a volcanic plateau of almost circular shape, whose average altitude is 2000 meters, and which culminates at Mount Tahat (2918m), the highest point in Algeria. The Atakor is distinguished by its spectacular volcanic peaks, its needles, and its rugged landscapes, resulting from the erosion of ancient volcanic chimneys, which make it the most emblematic summits of the Hoggar, such as the Assekrem, the Ilamane, or the Tizouyag, where climbers Patrick Edlinger, Patrick Bérhault, Bernard Gorgeon, Hugues Jaillet, Jacques Perrier, Stéphane Troussier and Odette Schoënleb evolve under the watchful eye of the Tuareg caravans.
